Already have another job lined up, and need to get out of my current toxic job ASAP. If I quit without notice, how much trouble am I in?

Been there, you would be put on the DNR (do not rehire) list.

Definitely not looking to work for this company again. So if that’s the worst that’ll happen I’m okay with that.

Anybody that also works there will remember that you quit without notice too. That could be an issue on down the road if they are not 100% sympathetic to your plight.

I would give then a date that is one week away and Indicate that due to training requirements from new job they need you as soon as possible.
Saves face and gets you out. Or , unless your contract required you to give them notice then make sure you do. They can fire you at will and you can quit at will. Congratulations on your new position.

It would affect your references and word gets around. You may not ever know it but other recruiters will know you did that and blacklist you. Your new employer may also see that as a negative point since they are now worried about you doing that to them.

I’d say do it right with the 2 week notice and walk out of there worry free

If they are endangering your license then you have an ethical obligation to report them. I certainly would not suggest staying in that case. Just thinking about the credentialing I have done in the past, with licensing boards you need to let them know what’s happening to protect yourself.

Sometimes the risk is worth just that

At the end of the day, we are all human beings, worthy of being treated well and respected. If this job is not meeting that very basic need, go ahead and quit immediately. As long as you are okay with burning that bridge forever, I don't see the harm. However, like others have said, it will impact being able to list them as a reference. There is risk, but if your mental health is truly suffering or you are on the verge of being terminated, quitting is probably the right thing to do.

I resigned my last position without notice ( company was at-will) due to extreme toxicity and loss of trust in my upper management. It was not a complete surprise to anyone who worked on my team. I was very well liked and respected in my department and team. I found out a few months after I resigned that the company had designated me as "Ineligble for Rehire". One of my team members wanted me to come back and asked HR about it. That's when I found out. The only reason I care about that is I don't want it to adversely affect any potential new jobs, and I want my reputation clean at my old.

Hi, Everyone.

I have two YOE in one of the Big 4s. Current salary is 16 lpa(fixed + bonus). Have an offer from EY India.

They are offering Consultant role in their Advisory Division. Should I insist on Senior Con. ? They are citing lack of experience as a reason.

Also what is the Salary I can ask? I understand there might be band limitations. Just wanted to understand if someone can shed some light on the max. I should expect & can someone help me understand about the bonuses there? TIA

Servus zusammen,

I am a practice manager and I work with two older doctors who either complain about everything from notes to schedules etc. and even with the amount of time and effort I’ve put into to address those concerns I.e. setting admin time, utilizing PA’s and NP’s managing schedules within the office- even had to sit next to a doctor to make sure he’s completing his notes during 30min admin time- they still manage to complain! It’s driving me insane. What should I do?

Hello everyone, I have posted before about a situation I am in with a potential employer. I received an offer from a hospital, I accepted it with the director, signed some paperwork for a background check and sent it back. It has been 3 weeks so far, the person I spoke to said HR should’ve sent me consent forms already, I’ve dug through my email and found nothing, I’ve reached out to HR as well but they won’t speak to me since I am not an employee. What do I do? I’m stuck in limbo.

Working in a large health system as a quality professional WFH. I rarely see anyone else on my team, and when I do present findings I see no changes happening. Maybe they’re happening and I just don’t have a role in that oversight but the motivation to keep going is whittling down to nothing. I’ve been in healthcare for years but graduated with a masters in last two years and was hoping for something different. I have been applying to so many jobs and not many calls back. Any advice ?

Interviews need to be monitored and recorded. I can’t tell you how many disappointed dreams I have been sold. It is a complete waste of time to really wait around to be wishful of a call. Gathering up 10 potential applicants to narrow it down to a top 3 and only make one offer is not acceptable. Much like jury duty, applicants should be compensated for their time.
