In a few weeks I’m transitioning from a client-facing consulting role to an internal role that’s not client facing. Looking forward to the WLB but a bit anxious about the pivot out of client work (will it be too slow paced, will I get bored, etc). Anyone have tips on being successful in this transition out of client work?
I feel like the leadership on my team never pushes back on client ideas/requests no matter how ridiculous they are. We discuss how nonsensical they are as we continue to say yes to everything. Is this bad relationship management or just what is to be expected in professional services?
Thinking of applying to M7 schools and really unsure about my chances. I am latin american, started in a LatAm office at MBB and x-fered to the US last year. I have 3 YOE and a military background. I have an engineering degree with pretty bad GPA (3.1) and a solid GMAT (730). Is M7 out of the question due to GPA? or is the MBB brand and financial sponsorship strong enough to overcome? What are your thoughts?
What is everyone’s thoughts on this? Right to decline... so many people coming out with their opinion but I’m sure the consultants rule the skies. I’m looking to improve my ability to drive and execute engagements as an EM. Is getting a PMP a good countermeasure to gain those skills?
Any concerns putting my two weeks in before my background check goes through? I just had a background check for a client a few months ago and no issues and obviously never had any issues but wondering if anything could happen that would be a risk
Does working at a specialized firm like ZS hurt my chances of lateraling into MBB? Or admission into M7?
Wait for promotion in October or take July bonus and leave? I'm so burnt out. It would be nice to get the title but I don't know if I can last that long, and not possible to take leave in between.
Layoffs still going on in Deloitte, PWC or KPMG?
1st yr, been putting away 18% of pre-tax income to 401K (-27% return). Have $3k to invest, what would you recommend? pay towards $4k loan, increase contributions, roth ira?
I am 23 weeks pregnant with my first... And I'm not feeling baby kick. Should I be worried? The internet says you should feel the baby kick between 18-22 weeks, and to call your doctor if you don't feel anything by 22 weeks. All the online forums say they felt their kid kick at like 16 weeks. Additional context: At 20 week ultrasound, she was moving fine and the ultrasound tech was surprised I couldn't feel her then, which is why I haven't been worried until now...
KPMG senior consultant salary band for canada? And is there a sign-on bonus. HR has said nothing about it 🙄
Interviewed with a company and team that I loved. They are taking over a month for a final decision. They just asked for up to 2 more weeks to decide. I don’t need to leave my current role. Should I scrap them?
Why does it seem like most of the posts in this bowl are from artists/creatives? Is there a relation there or is it just coincidence.
Curious, much my of your comp increase are you planning to put into retirement? Thinking of upping my contributions by 5% again.
Is SM rank fairly similar across all the big4s, in terms of factors like work responsibilties, salary, market value, etc?
