I spent a lot more this year than I normally do. For work clothes I only bought one sweater from Ann Taylor when I usually get more in previous years. This year I spent a ton over November and ended up buying about a year's worth of books and video games. However considering I spent barely any on these two categories in previous years I consider this to be finally getting everything that had been accrued over the years. I finally want to get back into these two hobbies again.

I invested in some cookware since it’ll be a while before we’re back in restaurants again!

I bought an instant pot for $49. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Instant-Pot-VIVA-Black-Stainless-6-Quart-9-in-1-Multi-Use-Programmable-Pressure-Cooker-Slow-Rice-Yogurt-Maker-Cake-Egg-Saut-Sous-Vide-Sterilizer/562129090

Also Staub enameled Dutch oven: https://www.williams-sonoma.com/m/products/staub-4-quart-cast-iron-round-cocotte-promo/?cm_re=hpbanner2-_-default-_-shop_staub_promo

And some knives: https://yatoshiknives.com/products/5-knife-set?variant=28099671130190&currency=USD&utm_medium=product_sync&utm_source=google&utm_content=sag_organic&utm_campaign=sag_organic&cmp_id=6447343118&adg_id=77808385900&kwd=&device=m&gclid=Cj0KCQiA2af-BRDzARIsAIVQUOeQlZLiDZViNv_ZduKOSh4CsNN-uwjMW5ByUuHGj2OarqsvNQCnGDsaAmmZEALw_wcB

And some dog treats for my little girl!

Im afraid to check my credit card. But i spent a good 3-4K. (Vuori for loungewear, 2 barefoot dreams robes, lots of skincare from skinceuticals, skII and cosrx. Some skincare devices to keep up with facials and skincare. Body pillow, set of brooke linen sheets, and few theory items). Oh and a zuhair murad dress for my engagement party!

like

Me to my CC: 🙈🙈🙈

Skinceuticals is good stuff, and bed sheets are important— I’d not feel too guilty investing in skincare/self care!

like

I’m so boring - tons of Anthropologie candles and going to michael’s later to get Christmas decor. Tempted to get a Dyson vacuum today. I am 3 weeks postpartum so I am taking a pass on clothing this year :(

like

Looove Anthro candles!!

like

Top from Thredup ($30 for a Vince silk top)
Swarovski earring and bracelet - $129 for both
Sulwhasoo night mask - $40

@A1, thank you! Yes I'm excited to receive it!
Do you shop there often?

like

Diamond studs, Levis, random Korean skincare products

like

Blue Nile- but I wouldn't buy now, the studs I bought are $200 more now that the Black Friday sale is over. I like the site but would never buy anything full price from them, sales come around often enough

Alo sale gets me every year!
Some Aritzia items for both work and casual
APL sneakers
A Christmas tree from CB2
Mejuri rings
An infrared sauna from Amazon (we’ll see how this one goes)

like

LOL A2 don’t feel bad— I dropped a lot on Alo too but mostly in 2019. love their Alosoft stuff

I ordered 4 super soft long-sleeve t-shirts from Abercrombie, a second pair of my favorite Spanx leggings, and a Spanx bra. I had planned to buy a new second monitor but was generally unimpressed by the options & decided not to.

like

I bought a few presents for my boyfriend and nieces. (Jono Pandolfi, some clothes from Vuori, a teak cutting board, linen aprons, clothes from Kate Quinn)

For myself I bought linens from Hill House. More leggings than I need from Lululemon, beauty from Glossier and EM Cosmetics), sweat set from Reformation, body wash from Necessaire (free body serum promo), and a beautiful baby blue Smeg water kettle.

Will prob make a few more purchases today. 😝

like

I bought two faux fur jackets and like five sweaters, as well as two new pairs of jeans and a scarf. These items will serve me well for outdoor dining and walking drinks/cofee walks with friends when possible.

like

Eh, as long as I keep Zara clothes for many years I don’t have guilt. Ex I have a bag and coat from 2013, a blazer from two years ago, and two pairs of pants from a year+ ago.

like

Madewell and Lululemon-great sales!

like

Incredibly boring from a fashion perspective, but a new personal laptop, an adjustable dumbell set, a bedside lamp (which I'm actually excited about!), and a print subscription to the wall street journal because I'm tired of staring at screens all the time

Ever since the weather became cooler, I wake up everyday feeling tired and with a lot of pressure in my head. Even after sleeping enough. My eyes have insane dark circles/sunken look. It makes working very difficult in the mornings. Anyone else experience this? At first I thought it was just the change in weather, now wondering if it’s fall allergies.

like

Having an off day already and wondering how so many people seem to be able to keep it all together so easily. I have friends and family that just handle everything with such grace and never seem to drop the ball or have to scramble to find time or energy to put into all of their priorities/obligations. Why is it so hard for me to even remember to schedule regular maintenance things for house/car/health, etc.?

Maybe this career is just draining my cognitive capacity. I'm so tired.
