Alternative investments - I’m maxing out qualified accounts (401k, IRA) but don’t earn enough to buy real estate or go into private lending. What should I do with my extra income?

Same here. I usually throw any extra in a brokerage account and use it as “funny money” - speculative stocks

I use an etf

Use a taxable account. If you want real estate exposure without buying property buy some REITs

I have some VNQ and JBGS in my IRA. You have any recommendations?

I am currently on maternity leave and returning to work in about 2.5 months. I work in PA and have been thinking about a career move lately. On one hand I want to return to work with something I am familiar with to help with the transition, but the thought of going through another busy season and constant demand at work is just dreadful.. Has anyone successfully landed another job while still on maternity leave, and how was your experience?

Is LinkedIn helpful? I only see it as a means to showcase one's experience/education background. Am I missing out on its benefits? Not a lot of big agencies post jobs there (atleast in my city) and the recruiters that do reach out have vague, often marketing-related, job offers.

I don’t want to shittalk my job but it’s really makes me feel like i should stay another 6m just so I don’t look bad. What would you do?

What’s a good answer to the question “Why are you leaving so soon?” For context I have made 2 exit since last year. I was below average at the start of the pandemic and now quite a bit on the upper range. In each instance I was either approached by the recruiter or the hiring manager. Even now the most recent interview was when the company approached me through LinkedIn but still they asked me this question which is quite confusing. I mean you approached me and I like the work you do.
