Although most ppl here are no longer students, but what do you think about the new ICE legislation regarding intl’ students not allowed to stay in the US if their schools go online-only?
US is no.1 in COVID cases right now, very few countries have opened borders with the US, how do they think the students are going to get home?? Not to mention the time difference + no change to tuition
It’s been 10 years since I was on F1. The rule used to be we need minimum 9 credits for a semesters and only 3 out of it can be online.
I don’t think ICE is changing the rule, they are planning to enforce it strictly knowing many would have to unwillingly violate it.
Agreed PwC1, I understand that the max 1 online class rule has been there before, but if anything this rule should be relaxed given that the online method is mandated by the school, not the students’ choices. It’s not fair to force them to leave because of something they have no control over
