Although most ppl here are no longer students, but what do you think about the new ICE legislation regarding intl’ students not allowed to stay in the US if their schools go online-only?
US is no.1 in COVID cases right now, very few countries have opened borders with the US, how do they think the students are going to get home?? Not to mention the time difference + no change to tuition

How do y’all cope with what ifs? Can’t shake the feeling I could have gotten into an M7 school if I had focused less on work and more on the application / GMAT. Deep down, I know that the T15 I’m attending will help me achieve my goals; I would just have to put in a little more work on my end to get there. Not seeing my school’s name show up in the media/company presentations when they do spotlights on successful people does give me pause about how successful the average alumnus at my school is.

For to a top 10 MBA program, how important are test scores if background/recs are really good?

Hello everyone I’m conflicted. So I just got off the phone with a recruiter and the job is exactly what I’m looking for remote,good,and great mission.
So I’m from a low income household and stability is something I’ve been looking for my whole life and I feel that this is it. I’m also a student but indecisive about my major but I know I want to be in tech (comp sci,cyber security,or information systems) should I take time off school and take this opportunity and in the process give myself time.

I’m interviewing at EY bc my current firm has an awful culture & revoked its program to sponsor graduate studies. Also they didn’t give us our quarterly bonuses (pre-covid), year end, and didn’t promote any of current associates but proceeded to hire new grads at full salaries (during covid). EY didnt sell me on culture and said they don’t do enough and there probably won’t be much change for the next year. I’m thinking of taking EY’s offer but unsure bc It may be the same situation. Thoughts?

I have been in insurance sales for 7 years. Not something was ever thinking I would do. I have a bachelors and masters in general psychology. My masters was more research based in hopes I would go back for my PhD one day. I decided to just go back for my MBA with a concentration in Business Analytics. How can I break out of the insurance sales role and into something else with insurance if all my experience has been sales. Should I just wait until I am done with my degree and then search after?

I got laid off during Covid and pivoted to PM at FAANG and a partner is reaching out to me about rejoining. A part of me misses consulting but have the salty taste of my lay off experience.

Kellogg vs. Haas? I’m accepted by both. I have always been in love with Kellogg and wasn’t expecting I would be accepted by Haas. My parent ended up in an emergency room and is admitted to a hospital. They need a surgery for broken leg. I requested hospital transfer but current hospital refused to transfer my parent to another hospital of our choice. They said they can discharge us to rehab or home (home is apparently against medical advice now). How can I leave this place and go to the hospital of our choice? Ask for discharge and transportation home and then from there call 911 and ask to be taken to requested hospital?🙏🏻

Out of curiosity, what percent of your work/analyses are Excel based? And what other softwares do you use the most (Tableau, PowerBI, Alteryx, etc.)

My work has been 90% Excel based 10% Access/SQL based and friends at other firms seem to be using way more advanced programs.

Can someone help me, i need guidance. I got my H-1B on 10/26/201, I was unfortunately laid of 12/31/2021. Since then I’ve been looking for a job. I know I have 60 day grace period to transfer. I’m coming up on my 60 days next week. I have an offer in hand and I’m hearing back from another company tomorrow. Does anyone know how USCIS views the date of transfer? Is it before the 60 days or how does that work? Thank you in advance!

Had a question- I pulled up my I-94 form and saw that my entry date was valid till 2020 which was my old petition. After that I had applied for extension and got an approval till December 2022. Never travel back to home county during this time. Should I get the I-94 updated with latest dates or is it fine. Please let me know.
