Always so funny how movies and TV shows represent engineers, sure gives the wrong idea of what we do on a daily basis lol

You are right, at least most of them are. There are few movies that really show engineers as we are.

It's true, I was just thinking that a lot of people say that we are conceited but when you see Tony Start it's impossible not to think that we are conceited.

For me it's something very funny, for example with the series The big bang theory, do you remember Wollowitz and the song that he was the only engineer in the group? Well, many people tell me that scientists are better than engineers and that is because of something they see in the series, but at the same time people who are not scientists or engineers tell me, it seems very stupid of them but it is something that TV taught them about engineers.

Anyone from Boston Consulting Group Boston Consulting Group (BCG) working in non-consulting - Technology/Engineering/Global Services?

How's the work life balance? Glassdoor reviews are full of "long working hours" and hence wanted to know if it's the same with non-consulting folks as well?

How far is it true across the organisation?

Please help me shed some light to decide.

Thanks.

Agency recruitment managers! How do y’all set goals for your department? Do you focus on outreach goals, applicant goals, purely hiring goals no matter the outreach numbers, conversion rates, etc? Asking because I manage two recruiters working with different clients and both work with different styles, so outreach messages for one might not make sense for the other. Any insight would be so helpful!
