don't fucking do that lmao work is not a dating service how do people not get that....

When you say not working directly? How not directly and how did you meet? If you met via online dating and he/she works for some separate division of a 100,000 person company, sure.

You can date whoever you want to date. If it becomes a relationship, then you would need to disclose that to HR on both sides. If you're uncomfortable with that for some reason, don't do it.

like

Absolutely. What could ever go wrong?

like

Pwc1, I would agree with you. But it's like those pesky time sheets (work 60 bill 40) and all sorts of unwritten rules that shouldn't get you in trouble but....

Use your best judgement. No firm should have a black and white policy here. If there is no conflict of interest, go for it and let your leadership know for awareness sake.

Depends on who you ask.

What if I don't work directly with the person?

Yes!

Your boss' boss qualifies under "not working directly"

Better than dating your boss's (Partner) daughter 😜

@D3 We're lovers, not fighters 😙

You better not be my wife

Go for it OP

Met guy on Bumble. He started off really strong with sending me audio messages, pictures and then randomly it sort of stopped. We are supposed to have our first date tomorrow morning and he texted me now asking if it still works. Feel like it’s weird how he went from intense to nothing and not sure if I should entertain the date? What do y’all think? Give him a chance or no?

Outside of your day job, how do you learn the high level technical aspects of salesforce? I’m a functional lead at a big 4 consulting company on a long term project (more strategy and PM work) but want to have better technical understanding. I don’t want to be a tech lead, but enough to have educated conversations with clients (architecture, data model, integrations, privacy, refresh specifics, etc), and potentially work towards Solution Architect. Any advice would be highly appreciated!

DE&I is now a core leadership competency. If you are managing diverse talent, it’s important to understand what the term “privilege” means within a DE&I context so you can lead your team to higher levels of inclusivity+develop optimal strategies for solutioning around team issues/challenges. Everyone has some aspect of privilege depending upon the context. Privilege means the absence of obstacles/barriers, not necessarily the presence of perks. Though some would say *that* itself is a perk.

Everyone on my team is leaving the firm. The PPMD who hired me left the firm before my start date, now two seniors have left in the last 2 months. My team will be down to <3 with no manager/SM/PPMD. A Manager/PPMD from a diff. City is going taking our “office” over, so I’ll be the random staff that lives out of state but reports to them. What would you do?

Any insight would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

Have you ever dealt with a colleague that believes in extremely (in my opinion) outdated or even just false claims and treats them as scientific facts? I work with several older men but one of them practices "provocative therapy" as in you just play the devil's advocate with your patient and side with the negative half of their thinking. In theory I could see this working situationally, but as a whole philosophy regardless of the patient's issue I think it's ridiculous.

I'm in talks to be task lead/on-site project manager for a small contractor - non-technical/highly specialized subject matter, 5-10 direct reports. Requires 10 YOE, relevant master's, Top Secret. Any thoughts on salary I should be asking? I'd have to get $220k minimum to make it worth my while to jump, but skeptical they'll be able to offer that.

To what extent would picking a T10 (Haas, Tuck) over a T15 (excluding Stern and Cornell) positively influence my IB/consulting recruiting outcomes, assuming all else equal? Would IB employers note this difference in rankings? Always heard that the lower down the T15 you go, the more 'plus points' (e.g. relevant pre-MBA experience, high GMAT, URM) you'll need on your application to compensate for the school's rank, and while it sounds naive, I just wanted to see if there's any truth to this?
