We are doing Disney in February. Do you have any tips / tricks? Any travel agents you have used that specialize in Disney? Thanks in advance!
Anyone stayed at JW Marriott or Hyatt Ziva in Cabo? I've got points to spend. Wondering which is the better value or choice.
Air Canada is offering refund options for a flight that got cancelled last year due to COVID-19. What’s the best option? Get a full refund, add it to aeroplan points, or transfer to AC travel voucher?
As a native New Yorker - what is the appeal of Times Square? I know so many people when visiting feel they must stay at a hotel in that area and actively seek it out! I’m like why??
Deloitte breastfeeding mamas (past or present) - does the firm offer support for shipping breastmilk while traveling for work? I know the service is available at DU, but is it also true for general work travel? Thanks!
Anyone have the Bilt Mastercard? I just got it and it’s great! You get points to pay rent (and 2x on travel and 3x on dining out and food delivery). If you want to apply it would be awesome if you use my link. No annual fee too.
I quit my job 8 months ago, and took some time to chill, travel, learn front-end development, and pursue hobbies. I love front-end, but as I start up my job search and try to tailor my resume to show transferable skills and relevant experience, I feel incredibly inadequate :( I’m going from 2 years in SaaS Sales to Front-End Development; would love to hear if anyone’s had a similar path, or some advice on how you ladies have navigated career changes with confidence!
If I move my Chase Sapphire points to United, will it help me to reach elite status faster?
Hey , I've tried looking for specific keyboard shortcuts for Google sheets but can't seem to find any. Before giving up, wanted to check with the experts for the following:
1. Turn on / off data filter (similar to Ctrl + Shift + L in Excel)
2. See drop-down options in a cell (similar to Alt + Down arrow key)
Booking a trip to ATL in a few months. I have Alaska Air MVP Gold. They are phasing in their oneworld membership throughout 2021, but it’s not clear to me what benefit, if any, I’d get from booking an AA flight via AS’s website (ie “marketed as an Alaska flight, but operating as AA”). I think these would count as partner miles, not Alaska miles, even though it’s purchasedart AS. This would be my only non-Alaska flight so partner miles are less useful than Alaska miles. Am I missing something?
I am in the customer service and sales side of travel insurance, and I am looking for a new job, possibly in another field. A much larger company purchased us 2 years ago, and over the last 6 months I have lost 2 designations, one as an advocate, which was my most rewarding. I was told that it had nothing to do with my performance. Any suggestions on how to obtain a position in another area? Such as going from strictly customer service and sales to advocate and claims? Thanks
My passport expired at the end of January. Can I still travel to india if I plan to return by early Jan (before passport expires)? Or does india require 6 months validity on the passport. It’s a US passport FWIW. I don’t have time to renew since it’ll take 3 months! Thanks!
I've applied for a credit card and I need to send a confirmation mail from my Barclays email id, but it's getting blocked.
Has anyone faced the same situation?
Adjacent topic: does anybody have experience they can share with the ‘Save Wealth Premium’ credit card? Conceptually it could be rewarding for high spenders, but seems to not be part of the credit rewards dialogue.
How often does FDD travel during normal times? Have firms released anything about what what it will look like post COVID?
When it comes to airlines I go where I'm appreciated thus far JetBlue, Southwest, and Virgin America (now Alaska Air) have been my go to airlines. You couldn't pay me to get on United, Delta or US.

I think I'm catching feelings for a guy I've been casually seeing who's been actively avoiding any discussions of feelings. He keeps asking to just let things play out and not push either way. Seems like there's an elephant in the room, what would you do next?

Any pointers would greatly help me.

I’m a junior and this is my first time being on the interviewer side of recruiting at a BL firm (using the term “interviewer” loosely since, as a junior, I think my role is more answering than asking questions). I’m experiencing some major imposter syndrome looking at the resumes and accomplishments of these candidates. I used to feel fairly secure that my achievements were roughly comparable to my peers at my firm, but now I’m wondering how the hell I got my offer. Anyone else feel this way?

I have a colleague who quit her BigLaw job in NY for a BigLaw firm in LA. After relocating to LA and about a week before the start date, the new firm rescinded the offer for undisclosed reasons. It was not related to conflicts issues or anything with her background check. Those cleared before she moved to LA. Employees are at will, but are there promissory estoppel or other claims against this kind of behavior. Colleague not only left previous job as a mid-level but incurred debt while moving.

What firms allow fully remote, including for paralegals? I see lots of remote opportunities for attorneys, but then they require all paralegals in person?!? We bill too so it seems we are just as trackable with productivity. I've been remote since March 2020 (maintaining and even exceeding billable requirements), but my firm wouldn't let me stay remote since I'm moving to a state where we do not have a physical office.
Has anyone taken a stealth vacation (i.e. went on a trip but didn’t officially take time off)? Did it work out?

How do I become a faster writer? People like my writing skills and I am now getting asked to write substantive appellate and responsive briefs. The issue is that I’m struggling to meet deadlines. In terms of billables, is it fair to bill the amount of time an assignment should take rather than what it actually takes? For example, if I'm drafting a document that should take an hour, but I'm done in 15 min because I have a shell from a previous assignment that I can just edit, is it fair to still bill an hour?
