In my 10 years in consulting, interestingly I have seen men in their 20s, 30s, 40s, and 50s. However, women are either in their 20s or 50s. I guess women travels for 5-7 years, get married, and done.

MBB - what are your human capital practices like?

I am a recently promoted SM in CFO&EV that has been offered a position by my current client. The role would be a lateral transition from a role title perspective, but with a 30% base salary increase and eligibility for 50% performance bonus. I’m viewing this as an opportunity to “slow down” for 2-3 years, increase my salary, and revaluate if I want to make a shot at MD as a boomerang... who else has been in similar situations and how did you navigate?
