Hey Sharks,
Have joined HCL last week. Assigned a project which seems not too good technically. Thinking of joining other organisation (which is paying low but work wise it's good). If I leave now will it be considered absconding. And if it is then does HCL blacklist those employees for future.
Kindly suggest. TIA.

Any federal AWS solutions architect working for Deloitte? How is the hiring process, especially for those that do not have hands on cloud experience? I’m getting a feeling there’s more focus on expanding work with experienced hires and less on growing people who have potential and related skills.

Maybe your counselor is concerned about changeability after the new project ends? Idk. But you should do what is best for your career and growth. As long as you leave ur current project on good terms, you’re fine. U don’t need to be “grateful” for what you’ve earned with hard work. Your career is for you to strategically manage and maximize
Thank you A1! I’m on great terms with my project lead. I have helped to run social engagements on my team and it’s the CC btw that I am on. If anything my team lead wants me to get on the other project. My career counselor received positive feedback regarding my performance on the cc. I’ve technically had two separate roles on the cc.
Try to understand the reason behind your counselor’s recommendation as there may be soo many things at play that we are not privy to.. At EY, I asked to be off a client that in my opinion was not contributing to skill set or stimulating my brain cell. Unfortunately, the partner who I later learned was a powerful partner did not take it well. I felt like I entered into his black book etc., which may have limited my advancement or opportunities in the short run. Yes, you drive your career. Mull your options and proceed wisely. Good luck
I would for sure roll off if you’re leaving the call center for a client facing role.
Vet the advice the career counselor is giving you. Is their truth behind their recommendation? Do they understand your goals? What are they saying are the prod and cons of staying on the project or rolling off? At the end of the day, do what's best for you.

No you'll be fine, definitely take the new role!!

Also if your career counselor sucks, maybe also switch yours.
Depends on why, how and what the business need is. Maybe you aren’t building new skillsets for yourself, but are you helping to develop others? Not sure of the nature of the concern but it could be simply prioritizing business needs (pipeline).
Update! Thank you all for your advice. Really appreciate it! So the current project did not let me roll off so I’m stuck until God knows when. But will continue to develop myself in training and certs until I am rolled off.
