I have found the support and advice overwhelmingly positive and helpful from this group. Occasionally I get a judgmental or snarky comment but I just ignore those. It helps to present facts of the situation objectively and to try and remain open minded. Acknowledge if you are just venting or want advice. Listen to what others are trying to tell you and be willing to acknowledge where you are in the wrong rather than resort to being on the defensive. I feel like there’s a big enough diversity of opinion here to tell whether someone is being annoyingly accusatory vs when they may actually have a good point (even if they didn’t phrase it well)

Fair point!

I’ve found this bowl to be very helpful when it comes to a anonymous honesty. I personally haven’t seen any posts where I felt like OP was being judged unfairly. However, I’ve seen many where OP felt they were being judged unfairly. These were typically instances where it was pretty transparent that the OP came in with the hope of either getting an answer they had already decided was “right” or validation...and then anonymous strangers didn’t give them what they were looking for. As an OP, I’ve gotten answers I didn’t like, but they were still honestly helpful.

I think if you’re coming here for the unchecked loyalty of your besties...we aren’t going to offer that better than your besties. If you’re interested in an objective view, it’s super possible to get that. What I have found most helpful to get an answer: state facts and ask a specific question.

Also, if you want to link us to some of your posts that you felt were unfairly judged...someone might be able to offer some insight.

... I have found a lot of support and good stuff in here but yeah it is 50/50... Isn't that life in general? Sometimes it has to do with the way you say things, maybe you are not being as clear as you think. I think you are exagerating a little, what you find here is likely what you will find out there as well 🤷

🤵that's a guy... In my emojis at least xD

I’ve only found support. If there are situations where my reality/perception is constantly being met with judgement, it would in turn, make me reflect on whether my perception is skewed because of my own bias. Everyone can’t be “wrong”

I mean what are you posting? Link us to examples? Overall I’ve found a lot of support in the group!

Can you provide details on what posts you’ve made?

I’ve found some good advice on this bowl- particularly professional advice- these posts don’t garner as much attention as things like “I wish I could marry rich teheheh” but the support is there. If anything it can be blindingly supportive at times.

Hey OP. What do you need? We care about each other. Tell us what u need

It might just be that u happen to have an unpopular opinion and people are quick to give their own opinion even if it doesn't align with yours. I've seen this on the women's fashion bowl where someone posts is this cute? And the resounding opinion was that it was not. OP got all butt hurt saying everyone's judging her bad style but no, majority opinion just didn't like it. Not really saying she had bad style. but hey u do u right?
