Am I the only one who feels like being on the bench during 'slow' Thanksgiving/Christmas Season makes you feel like don't have a job. Don't even want to see my chargeability.

Not getting promoted, on the bench now for a week and reluctant/unmotivated to get staffed b/c my utilization won't matter at this point for YE or next year. Can I chill or will I get in trouble?

I think many of us need to be a little more positive - this can be a great career - it all depends on what you put into it - at least your not digging ditches or working for the DMV

Has anyone else been reprioritizing since COVID hit? We’ve had some family medical issues during this time, and its really changed how I see things. I used to see myself making partner, building a book of business, etc. - but now I don’t care about that so much. I’ll just be a good associate for the next few years and then eventually hang a shingle. It’ll be fine. The mindset is less stressful, and honestly it gives me more time and mental space for my family. Anyone else feeling this way?
