Our M&A team
Overpaid for southeast
No way I am 6 YOE in LCOL southeast with 115k base in non tech role 130 is definitely low
Yes
I’m 235k 7 yoe as a PM.
You should be in 180-220k range assuming you’re in a HCOL area
I mean it really depends on where your MBA is from and what you’re product managing. It could be fine or it could be really low.
OP I would say yes.
yes. I make more with 4 yoe
Nice! What’s your level and comp?
Maybe not. If your degrees were from particularly reputable institutions, you wouldn't have to ask if 130k counts as being underpaid. Someone with EE and MBA degrees from Stanford or MIT wouldn't be in that situation. As such, I assume you're a not exactly top tier candidate who thus might not merit a top tier compensation.
But hey, prove me wrong, and go get a $400k+ product manager job at faang or similar. You're in the southeast, and major firms are either remote or have offices in Austin or Atlanta.
Kind of.. 123k 2 YOE master of accounting..
Can confirm…SAs in our FDD group start at 117 LCOL
Do you enjoy your job and life
Yes…but Engineers are most skilled at making other people rich. Side note, I’m an EE with an MBA

Preach. Spent some years as an EE, great gig for learning the craft (and industry) but even climbing the engineering ranks wouldn’t get me to the comp level I would need to live comfortably in my city.
Jumped to consulting and ever since I’ve been making margin for someone who knows my name, my comp keeps 📈
Funny the way that works
