Finished interviewing for an ATS role at Microsoft Wednesday. The interviewers said they were recommending me but I haven’t gotten any feedback from the recruiter. I’m at PwC S& and in consulting I always got at least a verbal yes day of or next day after interviewing. Does anyone know how long this usually takes? Do you get a verbal first or do they wait to have a contract?
Tata Consultancy Hi fishies, I recently interviewed for a Big data dev role for Autodesk but it's via a third party called Applicantz. Initially the contract is for 1 year, which can be extended. There is also scope of Autodesk hiring permanently after 6 months or 1 year. Can anyone provide some reviews about Autodesk and third party Applicantz. Usually I would not have considered anything via a third party, but the company(Autodesk) seems great and work discussed seems good as well.

Yes because they want to see PM or PM-adjacent experience, not PowerPoint.
You may still be eligible for APM/RPM programs at some places.
I’m a former PM, and I’d say It really depends on your experience. You don’t want to stay at BCG long, but you can use it to jump to an APM or PO role if you have the relevant experience.
You don’t want to stay at BCG for more than a year. Experience in real product management and delivery in a technology company will be much more valuable long term.
What if it’s a really small company?
My 5 years of experience moving boxes in PowerPoint is totally value added
Why become a PM in tech?
Yeah then got out sooner than later. ESP with BCG brand, because you’re not going to enter in that senior regardless. Former FANG
Never hurts to apply. The worst they can say is no and then you’re back where you started.
I’ve heard it’s very hard to make a direct jump from consulting to PM so you’ll probably need another intermediate role. Given that, you probably don’t want to spend too long at BCG. By the time you hit your one year anniversary you should probably have your next job lined up.
Not to hijack the thread, but what are the tiers in PM? I feel like I always just hear PM, but how many levels are there and what is the equivalent experience for each?
Not sure on experience and someone correct me if I’m wrong but I believe levels are:
APM
PM
Senior PM
Head of Product
