Am new to CTS..Though appraisal cycle is from Jan to Dec why CTS is releasing Hike letter only on Oct .it's like after 9 months we are getting hike letter..why can't employees escalate this??

What's the typical hike you can ask for during switch realistically? I mean one can ask even a 100% raise but what has been recent experiences especially 12-15 yoe bucket?

Right now I’m unhappy in my role due to bad management. I work in NYC at a beauty/CPG company. I have an opportunity to move to a new role internally which I am trying to make happen just to get some sanity. I have 6 years total experience (4 + as an IT project manager/ business analyst and 2 on as a Tech Product lead) but am considering if I should consider finding a new job. Alright my fellow fish I need advice. My last two jobs have been in a very specialized non-lucrative area of law. My state Bar is hiring senior attorneys for their Lawyer Regulation and Enforcement Department. What interests me is that it get me back into litigating (my current role is administrative) and it is a state job with competitive pay and good benefits. Does anyone have experience with this type of role? Would I be shooting myself in the foot if I take this job?

Just got promoted unexpectedly, big jump in salary.

I was interviewing with a new position when the promo came.

Have one last interview but I'm likely to get the job.

New position is 10k more than old salary but 15k less than new one.

Gets me out of public accounting (better WLB) and into a space I'm interested in.

Also gets me out of tax (major goal) into a more general finance role.

I'm thinking try it for a year or two, see how it goes, and jump if needed.

Salesforce - 200k base, 40k (opening) + 50k (year 1) + 75k (year 2) RSUs, 15% Bonus

Mckinsey - 215k base, 35k bonus, 75k signing bonus

I know the salaries at Mckinsey skyrocket when you hit Partner - but the work-life balance and benefits at Salesforce cannot be underestimated - and my RSUs keep getting larger and larger...thoughts?

Case load= malpractice? Small plaintiff’s firm of 25 attorneys. I was a 2 year associate hired and given 50 active files in pre litigation status. 9 mos later a partner quit and I inherited 45 more. I got up to 105 files. Now I hover at 85 active files in varying stages of pre lit. I asked managing partner for help and was told to settle more claims to lessen my load. Is this what people consider negative work culture?

What is the advice on what feedback to leave for a peer who really sucks at everything y'all have worked together on?
