Which firms do any exciting emerging tech (RPA, blockchain, machine learning etc) work? My experience has been that everyone just talks about it without actually doing any work in the area.

FCB’s 2019 was a pretty epic year. Where are you aiming your focus at in 2020?

I’m a junior corporate associate that basically drafts/edits agreements all day. I don’t hate my job, but I don’t think it’s very engaging. Has anyone been here before? Is this just part of being a corporate lawyer? Does it get better with seniority?

Do you get paid during sabbatical?

Hey friends. Recently joined a startup with a heavy reliance on outbound sales strategy. Without a phone number... what are some of your best ways to get meetings booked with prospects? Our product sells itself, but how do you set yourself apart to get the initial meeting booked? What mediums do you use with cold outreach that you find most effective? What copy have you found gets the best ppen/reply rate? I am not a sales PRO, but I'm also not a newbie. Really just looking for a think-tank.

Anyone else get an email saying they were getting an Ambassador over the next week, even though they didn't qualify this year or last? App has said Ambassador since switch, but figured it was a glitch

Hi, My joining date at my next company is a week ahead from the last working day at my current office. I have my background check (for the new job) going on and wondering if the last working date would raise any concerns? TIA

🐠 fam, need help deciding between Becker final review or Ninja to supplement Roger as my main review course. Please share your experience with either one, would be so helpful to me

Considering going back to Big4, offer on the table for 20% pay bump and a lot of (actual) learning opportunities in a new area for me that I’m interested in growing my skills. I’m comfortable in my current gig from an hours and money perspective, but mostly concerned with talk of recession AND going to Big4, being a new person on the team without a solid book yet, and potentially being first to be let go if people get spooked or things get bad. Thoughts from a partner? 🔮

What's the most ridiculous thing you've ever expensed successfully?

I am currently covering for someone on paternity leave. This means I've doubled the Sales Managers I'm supporting as well as the clients I'm supporting. I don't mind doing the work but I'd like to ask to be compensated for the increased workload. Has anyone done this? If so, how did you go about it? I'm relatively new to Tech so I'm not sure how to start the conversation.

Every time I get a mass firm email "Mark Your Calendars", I don't make my calendar. F you, just send me the stupid invitation the first time. Makes no sense.

What are some future trends you see for the state of UX design and design systems during the next decade? With the rise of design systems teams, component library maintanence, better documentation, quicker access to components, better design and dev handoff, I predict there will be a rise or a path to more job openings and responsibilities for enterprise in-house designers and devs to create a dedicated design system Figma plugin(s) for their company.

I was hopeful and excited to have a better working experience while working with EY. But seems like tagline is building better working world in real it is building worse working world. Anyone here experiencing same ?

Just an off topic silly doubt: I'm a recent joiner here. If on some day you are not having any task assigned after providing status of your tasks in daily call. Is it our responsibility to ping or reach out to Manager/Lead for assigning the work? OR we should wait for next status call and have some free time OR they will assign the work themselves if they have ? If i don't reach out, does it create wrong impression?

Have $130K in HYSA and saving to buy a home in the $800K range in 2021-2022. Feeling itchy keeping it parked in savings - should I take half to invest in a brokerage account?
