Amazon Proserve vs. Google Gtech vs. Google Contractor How do these stack up against each other in terms of experience and opportunity? I'm looking for a new job now and haven't prepared enough to be able to pass the tier 1 type FAANG positions, but I thought it would be good to at least get FAANG on my resume.

Also, how do they compare in TC?

What are the roles you're looking at, levels and what's your interest in those roles and teams?

I'm looking for an IC role as a developer/engineer, probably generalist full-stack or backend, but I'd be open to branching out to get more skills. I think I'd be looking at L6, at least at Proserve. I understand it equates to L5 in the regular engineering roles.

My instinct says Amazon Proserve is a better choice overall. But yes the actual roles etc makes a big difference so it would be great if you could share more.

I should mention that I would value more startup experience than I currently have. So Proserve might be a way to kill two birds with one stone, although I figure I may not have much choice in projects. Does anyone know much leverage consultants have in picking projects at Proserve? I'm open to relocation. I'm thinking Bay Area would be best for opportunities, but NYC is a possibility. Not sure about Seattle, LA, Austin.

I'm trying to switch from consulting to product management. Is it possible to make the switch directly or would I need to go to business school? Are any FAANG companies keen on PMs with a consulting background? Are there any courses or books that could help me make the switch? I've been seeinga lot of ads Product School for instance. Is that a better value substitute for business school? Sorry for the question overload lol. Thanks in advance for your help 🙂
