Received a job offer. Was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on a concern I had about it. It's an entry level position, and I don't have much experience. The billables are 2040 a year. For billable hours in civil litigation and insurance defense, is 2040 hours for a 1st year associate on the high end in this field for a small or midsize firm? It seems like most attorneys I know have minimum requirements of around 1800. The compensation is around 80k a year.

Need advice…Am SVP at small anesthesia company in NC. Over 15 year tenure I have done everything from compliance, credentials, hiring, all HR functions, clinician scheduling, claims entry, claims follow up, insurance contract negotiation, facility contracting, insurance appeals, basically anything other than putting pts to sleep. I’m thinking about a change but unsure of how to market myself or even what to apply for. MSHS from GWU. Any thoughts?

Started a new job back in January. Creative Director, a team of 7. Went back & fourth in negotiating. Offered 110k. Asked for 120k, settled on 115k. I even threw in that I was taking a hit with benefits, needing to pay 5k more as compared to my position I was leaving. That’s how I got it to 115k. At my annual I plan to address again, in partnership with the impact this position will have made this past year. What do other creative directors earn, if you don’t mind sharing? I’m almost a second year attorney in family law. I have made brief appearances in hearings, but nothing really major. I am an outgoing person and have no problem working out issues and speaking to the partner and senior associates. However, I have so much anxiety about court, particularly long arguments. I am extremely nervous and feel like I’m going to freeze. I do believe I’m capable, but I feel like I have a long way to go. Any tips? I’m doing great in all other areas more or less.
