AMZN - how frequently do external hires come in at L8? I've been approached by recruiters a few times for L7 roles but I don't think the TC will come close to my current TC (AP at MBB). Are most L8 roles filled internally at Amazon?

Anyone got experience with McKinsey Digital? Couple questions below:

- Where do most applicants come from for associate roles? (5YoE requested) what's the average background - still oxbridge and top MBA?
- Associate renumeration structure?
- is it more people/strategy focused like Accenture or more tech development
- Where does the majority of their client base sit?
- is travel frequent?

What are other MBB tech alternatives to B4?

Two questions:
1) Have the new grid adjustments gone into effect, or is your firm waiting for the arrival of the next “class” in June timeframe?
2) What is the new base comp for MBB Principal/AP?

Is strategy consulting (even MBB) losing it's charm nowadays with the world moving more towards implementation projects and better opportunities available outside which have good pay as well as better WLB?

Something like what happened with IB roles which were all the rage in B Schools few years back but now have tapered off a lot.

Do I have a chance with MBB?

I’m currently working at a management consultancy (approx. 5000 employees) in the data division (in the UK).

I consider myself to be a top performer and was recently promoted from the grad scheme after 1 year at the firm (compared to average 1.5-2 years). I also have an offer for similar role at big4.

Is it worth applying as an experienced hire for MBB? I didn’t go to a target university so I’m wondering how I can maximise my chances in applying.

Looks like B4 partners makes the most $$ in the long run, even tech/FAANG or industry level senior roles doesn’t pay more then $600-700k, except a few roles like ceo/IB/PE/other financial roles/startup rsu (of u r lucky). Came to the conclusion after reading all the posts in this and other bowls. May be MBB, but if u add pensions, I think B4 is better. Thoughts?

Can someone explain how MBB office factors into the firm dynamic? Coming from Deloitte our office culture is minimal given the nationwide travel model and cross office teams.

So Altman clearly beats out MBB in some sectors and is trying to position themselves as an MBB or perhaps tier 2 equivalent, but they’re just not matching the salaries. Why were Analyst salaries only raised to $95K when my friends at big firms (not just tier 2 but also MBB) will be making $100-120k as second years?

Is it me or does it seem like companies are hiring but not really hiring? For example, you wasted all of that time going through the interview process, completed it, and then they’re putting the position on hold or you had a great interview, they tell you had a great interview, the interviews like you, you had a great answers but they didn’t select you due to “business needs/growth/direction of the company.”

Looking for advice, is it a bad idea to take a chance on an early stage startup (20 FTEs) in our current economy or go for it? I'm currently interviewing for a head of product role, and really torn about the timing.

Added context, they raised about $4M in seed funding and the founders say they're overcommitted for their series A which is currently being closed. I've been in product for 7 years, definitely feel equipped to do the job, but would like to stay at least 1.5-2 years if I do this.

I work for a tech company with 75% of the staff located in Ukraine. Most of the marketing activities have been placed on hold due to funding is now being used to relocate my colleagues in danger. Thankfully most of the staff is safe. All but 1 of my projects are on hold until further notice. I do not mean for this post to be insensitive or selfish but I’m worried for my job. My question is, should I start looking for another job?
