Hello, I have received an offer from Southwest Airlines as a Associate Technology Analyst with their direct college hire program. Will be graduating in May with a degree in MIS and also have internships experience as a Business Systems analyst intern. The salary compensation started off at 66,500 but was looking for the 75k range and they got back to me saying the best they can do is 68,500. They also have a 401k company match up to 9.3%. Do you think this is a solid offer for this job market?

This is the reality of our republic.
Unfortunately, republicans don’t believe in single payer health care despite their friends dropping like flies. I unfortunately also believe democrats want to keep the insurance industry alive as well (besides Bernie and Warren).
This is why questioning capitalism should be part of the conversation. If human capital has a cost, that cost is finite and not infinite. Treating humans like products is a problem.
@C1, so you’re not kicking your granny off of Medicare, got it.
What about the welfare farmer queens?
So if single payer UHC is such a great idea why didnt that get put into law instead of the ACA? The Democrats had the votes and 2 years to do it, so why didn't they?
They tried implementing SP in Vermont and it failed. So the logical next step is to try and implement it nationwide
It’s a tragic situation but our current system is anything but capitalistic. Paying for health care is a maze of regulations, obtuse costs, and bad actors.
Our country already is in a ton of debt - our debt to GDP ratio is nearing that of WW2 and last time I checked we weren’t fighting a 2 front war in Europe and the Pacific. Our entitlement programs continue to take up more of our budget percentage wise, which crowds out other spending.
