What is the Senior Manager compensation band at EY? Specifically for the government/federal practice?
Currently working in industry, but I received a McK offer for an associate role with total comp slightly higher than what I would be making next year in industry (~$5-10k higher). The offer is in line with the associate level comp I can find online and I wasn’t able to negotiate for any more. Wondering if it’s worth it to accept from a personal development standpoint? In other words: current McK consultants - if it wasn’t for the money do you enjoy doing what you do/feel like it’s fulfilling? 🙏
When meeting people within different businesses, non ibd, and looking to see where you might want to move how do you find out which ones pay the highest? Do u ask straight up expected bonus range?
NYC-based tax senior here. Hopefully will be promoted this upcoming year to manager and thinking of moving to tax technology after getting promoted. For anyone here with experience making this move: how did you sell yourself in order to switch to a different role? Is there a difference in salary? Should I start the conversations now or will it mess up my promo?
Deloitters: Those who got a 1 last year - what was your bonus and raise %? Also please state your service area and level.
If you work at big 4 as a manager, what are some best exit opportunities? Comment your title and compensation
Seems like people are resigning left & right so my workload has gone way up but no talk of increased comp. Is it time to look elsewhere or should I stick it out until January?
Offer from a PE firm. Base - few K more than my salary now, but bonus is 20% a year. Also willing to reevaluate and raise my base at year end. But I have a great reputation in my office. 1
Can anyone with 2 YOE who exited to another firm share what their city, base, and TC looked like? Currently at MBB and unsure what comp to ask for.
What can I expect my salary to be if I went into industry or government and have no B4 experience in NYC? I really don’t think public is for me
Any folks familiar with Walmart career levels? Any idea where a Senior Director is on the scale? Bonus points if you have an idea of a typical comp package. Thank you!
Has anyone (permanently) moved back in with their parents as a result of Covid? My salary was cut, and there’s no benefit to paying big city rent if my job doesn’t require me to be here. It makes financial sense. I’m also in my mid-thirties and am being hard on myself for the potential step back.
I billed over 2300 hours last year (Req. is 1850). During my review I was told verbally that I would be receiving a bonus but firm has not provided any info re amount/distribution. Red flag?
How would you rank ATK ops group, S& PEVC and EY TAS value creation groups ? Most to least prestigious ? And what comp levels could I expect at SM at all these firms?
Feeling stuck, one year in and trapped on a project that my ‘career coach’ won’t let me leave because he’s on the project. Been applying out and trying to network within for a few months now (cont.)
Should I stop contributing to my 401K and put all my energy into paying off my student loan? Right now it's unconsolidated so there are rates between 3-6% and it's 20k.
I accidentally low balled recruitment on salary expectations (dumb, I know) and they recognized it. Other agencies have been discussing more $, but I want to fix this w the first agency. Any advice?
Managers and above; do you ever miss being a consultant/senior? Or do you prefer your current role?
Just got an offer at S& as senior associate. Currently an MBA hire at big 4. Can anyone who's there share some insights on what is great and what's not so great.
If you interview and the recruiter comes back with "We're still actively interviewing - we'll reach out once we have new updates" - how would you interpret it?
Did any SeniorCon move from management consulting to product / program manager role at Google? What do they expect in terms of experience/ skills?
Let’s talk second and third jobs? How many jobs do you have to make ends meet outside of the classroom?
Gamification?? Anybody have any success implementing this in the classroom? I am currently researching Classcraft....
Anyone have recommendations for an immigration lawyer for marriage based green card application process? Do you recommend having a lawyer or going through the process without one? What’s the typical fee? Thanks in advance!
Leaving firm in about a month to get MBA. What should I be doing in this last month here? Not sure I wanna come back, but 100k is a lot to say no to.
Gonna go out on a limb here and say the poster child of illegitimate elections calling your elections illegitimate means your election was legitimate.
Hi Eric - how would your suggest one breaking into the top management consulting firms which focus on strategy from tech consulting role which is more on implementation? Is MBA a must for this?
Considering an offer from MBB, but it would be one title below (though salary is slightly more). I feel the job would be much more aligned to my interests but some around me say a move to a lower...
My fur baby is in Los Angeles with my parents for a better, non-PA life that includes running on the beach and lots of play time. You guys don't even know how much these pics help when I miss her.
