Analyzing a portfolio with blend of Equities, Bonds, etc (and then adding out a benchmark from scratch) on excel.

What's the right metric to use for viewing portfolio growth? Is it yoy/mom market gains or loss, or would Market Value be right metric? Bit lost but want to understand better.

How much are you looking to actively manage it? If you're looking at, say, yearly rebalancing then YoY is probably your most useful metric (not sure what you're benchmarking against.)

Otherwise, splitting by total value and then total value by asset class is probably easiest.

Has anyone decided not to do ICSI when doing PGT? Thanks in advance!

Is it possible to contribute the annual maximum (19.5k) to two separate 401k's from unrelated employers? So total contributed over the two accounts would be $39k. Or is the 19.5k the combined maximum one can contribute to any number of employer 401k accounts? Thank you in advance.

I’m starting a business and need about $50K in upfront costs. I’ll fund half with cash and am looking to take a loan (which by my projections can be paid off in year 1) for the other $25K.

Would you recommend taking the loan through my personal name or through the company, assuming the interest rate for year 1 is 0%? I feel like it will take awhile to get the $25K for the business as the loan receiver pre-revenue… right?

I’m 27 and I just got my first job earlier this year. How much 401K should I be contributing? My employer offers a 50% match of the first 6% with a max of $2400. I’m currently making 85K and I’m contributing 6% to my 401k as well. Currently I’m at 3.6K in my 401K and I’m not sure if I should contribute more to it. (Currently i’m going to be getting 7.5K/year in my 401k) I feel like since I started late in life, I’m probably not going to benefit as much from the 401k. Is it even worth it?
