Despite turning 3 huge initiatives, a regulatory audit, and my regular work, which is basically digging my dept out of a giant hole bc the previous leaders did nothing, I found out that I just “meet expectations” and had my raise and bonus limited. No feedback, reason, or real input all year other than - use bullet format more. I put 2 DRs that worked on the initiatives in as “exceeds” & they got it, but not me? My boss and I are not a good fit, but this feels petty AF. Anyone experienced this?

About 6 months in as an associate in primarily commercial litigation. Have a feel for billable time on some matters, but certain types of motions or discovery requests I have almost no clue the “expected” time for something to be billed. Sometimes the partner will tell me an estimated time, but often they won’t. Is there a “cheat sheet” of sorts anyone has in terms of common billing times? Obviously no two are the same, but even just something to reference

Think of this way, if we get 1000 customer and making 100$ each customer, we will make 100k per month and as per my experience 20k at max can go to infra cost. We would be able to make 80k profit.

Head of vs Lead vs ??? Considering job as an “Engagement Lead” where the key responsibilities will be to lead client engagements but also create a new team that does not exist. Engagement Lead in my mind is not an effective title for someone with direct reports. Considering if I should negotiate a title such as “Head of Engagement Management” or something of the sorts. I been struggling with hires, it doesn't come as natural to me so it feels like a personal achievement.
