And now on the flip side...what's the best tip you've ever gotten?!

My wife left me her phone number and $5 when I was her waiter 8 years ago. Hands down the best tip

Once a guy left me a note and a Rolex. The note said "Sorry, I don't have any cash right now, but you were the best waiter." How can you leave a Rolex as a tip and not have any bills on you? I don't know, but the Rolex is nice.

$1000 while working as a bartender in a high-end NYC club. Who knew finance bros let loose so hard when drunk? lol

The best tip I've ever gotten as a waiter was from a patron who left me $100. It was a surprise bonus for all the hard work I'd put in to make their experience extra special. Not only did they leave that generous tip, but they also wrote me a lovely note expressing their appreciation for my warmth and attentiveness.

A lady gave me $50 on a $2 coffee and she noted how well I had remembered their particular order and that I had gone above and beyond throughout the evening. This gesture of kindness meant the world to me and will always be remembered as one of my favorite moments as a waiter.

A regular usually comes in and leaves 20% regardless of the price of their order. I can't be any more thankful for him and how I've become bhis favorite server haha

I work in one of those restaurants that splits tips and well... there's nothing remarkable tbh

I was closing my shift as one of my customers was on his way out, he came up to me and gave me $50 and one of the candies from the counter that he bought to give to me as a gift. He didn't say anything to me, which was a little weird, but it was a nice gesture.

A customer once left me two $25 Amazon giftcards. The place I worked at had a tip sharing policy but since they were not bills I was able to keep them for myself.

Had a regular who wasn't a big tipper come in one day with a big smile on his face. He'd just collected on a scratch ticket he won. Didn't tell me what the win was, but left me $200.

Hi everyone,
I am currently a sales rep at cintas and I am thinking about making the switch over to tech sales. Does anybody have an advice or opinions on what I should do and where I should look? And if it would be smarter to stay at cintas?

Do interview questions at google, especially for S&O roles lean more towards asking about past experience (tell me about a time when) or hypothetical (what if abc happened)? I don’t have a strategy / ops background (I’m coming from finance) but I’ve studied a lot of case studies etc and think I could do great in hypothetical and case study questions. But maybe not the past experience questions, because I just haven’t run into all these scenarios

Of the successful entrepreneurs you have known (as defined by a highly successful exit or $1m+ annually profitable business that began as a mere idea), what are the three most memorable traits you saw in that person during their journey? What stuck out? Unique or less expected traits would be nice to hear about as well as more common or expected ones.

Sales engineers, or any one in a Presales tech engineer role. How do you deal with a sales rep who used to be a a sales engineer? I know that is vague. I have been doing this for a while. I even dabbled in multiple sales roles at smaller companies. My issue is not agreeing with their approach at times. It could be a clash mostly in style. Might be my ego. Just wanted to a chat going. Side note. I mentor folks who are starting as SEs but sometimes the mentor needs to be the mentee.

I got an offer from IBM earlier they didn't discuss the salary and directly sent the offer letter, now I have another offer which is 1.3 lacs more than the IBM's offer. Will IBM counter that offer and provide matching or slightly more than what I received from the other firm?

Buckle up everyone, the holiday season has officially started. Time for endless carols and overplayed Christmas songs on the speakers all day long 😑

I have a boss from hell. She’s the GM of my hotel and she is a mean girl that never grew out of highschool. She loves gossip. She will trash talk her employees with other employees and once her toxic garbage starts to leak amongst us peons she will send a group text telling us all to stop spreading rumors and to stop being bullies like she isn’t the mean kid with a magnifying glass torturing ants for no reason. I want to stand up but I’ve seen her retaliate on people who have tried to. Help.

How much is a good hourly salary rate for an entry-level position at a major clothing store chain? I was offered $16 an hour, which is one dollar above minimum wage in my state. It's not too bad, but I am worried about my shifts, they're all over the place.

Why does GNC provide their products at Walmart cheaper than in their own store? I sold a product to a guy who comes in later to return it because it was $15 cheaper at Walmart. Customers don’t go to corporate GNC when this happens, they go to the retail associates working the counter. I feel that this damages my reputation as a salesman when it’s really not my fault.

I am, currently, in Northeast Ohio. Does anyone have a recommendation for Resume Services? I have seen a few that cost a considerable amount. I need affordable help tweaking my CV. I would like to get to the next level but, can't currently spend the "affordable" $150/hr. Thank you, in advance, for any help.

I've just recently been hired as an assistant manager at a Canadian outlet store. It's a small company in comparison to others, but there are over 10 locations spanning western Canada and NW united states. I'm curious as to what others in a similar position are getting as salary. I was offered $42k plus bonuses at the interview, but when called back I was offered $44.5k plus bonuses. I already accepted. Did I leave money on the table here?

Are the larger hotel chains (Hyatt, Best Western, etc.) better to work for than the smaller one-off organizations? I'm sure they're not all the same but I'm curious
