We're stumped on something pregnant friendly that still feels special.

WFH 3 days a week which is amazing however, it’s been super annoying & challenging b/c upstairs neighbor 4yr old kid is constantly running/ jumping. That’s all I hear!! I’ve confronted them 2x. Tips?

Approved by doctor/HR to remain remote and it’s not going over well( we were told we would remain remote, which included giving up our desks, but are now being asked to come in two days). The person who seemed the most annoyed by my request is my direct boss. I found it odd because she announced she was only doing one day because she was pregnant and the director was basically like “ok”. I don’t want to put a target on my back and I do enjoy the work. Should I just bite the bullet and come in?

Any other mommas only get real supply from one side while pumping? Getting 0.5 Oz from left side after half hr pumping... Any problems if I just pump and feed from right side? (Baby is 11 months old and supplementing with formula anyway, likely weaning at a year)

A parent of one of my students told admin she thinks it's irresponsible that I won't be grading over Christmas break. I let the students know to get any work they need graded in before the break and I'll get it to it during our workdays in January. Apparently that's not fast enough for her 🙄. Is it wrong that I'm sort of pissed off by this? Should I say something?

I’m in a rather peculiar situation. I have been in the HR field going on 4 years, I have over 11 years of management experience, I got my PHR last year and I recently graduated with my MBA with a concentration in HR this month. I am ready for a more challenging role. However, there doesn’t seem to be much available at my current company. However, I am going on 5 months pregnant with the expectation of being out in October. I feel like once I mentioned my pregnancy I was in a holding pattern.

I’m returning to work from maternity leave can someone tell me if I can reach out to HR to discuss pay review/increase upon my return. I know for a fact through colleagues I’m the lowest being paid at this company. New comers make same amount or even more. How do I initiate this convo ?

I’m the lead associate on a trial team going to hearing in June (trial only comes up every 2-3 years in my field). I’m due in December so was looking to do my disability separate from my parental leave (take Dec-Feb off for disability, then again July-Sept for firm-sponsored parental; my husband gets 12 weeks, so we’ll switch off with some parent help). HR was like “technically you can do that but no one does.”

When hirings managers ask illegal or unethical questions that is not relevant to the job or skills needed for the role like...

Are women here having issues finding appointments for initial prenatal visit? The first appointment I got will be at 11 weeks that too I was lucky because I had already scheduled with the doc for some other Obgyn issue back in July and they converted it to a prenatal appt. If I did not have that, I would have not got anything for the first trim. The other docs in the clinic also did not have appts. This sounds very risky. Heard from someone in Texas she did not get an appt until 16 weeks

First trimester insomnia?
I’m only about 5 weeks, but my sleep schedule has gone off the rail the last three nights. I’m sleepy/drowsy, settled in bed around the same time every night, and yet I cannot fall or stay asleep. I have a white noise machine, comfy bed, cool room.. etc. When I do fall asleep, it’s earlier in the morning and I sleep until 1/1:30pm. This was fine the first few nights since it was the weekend, but it can’t keep up. Anyone else experience this and have any recommendations?

I’m six weeks and have either a yeast infection or UTI (been awhile since I had either and symptoms since last night can go either way). Have an urgent care apt later today but worried about antibiotics or medications while it’s still so early and the risk of miscarriage or birth defects. Anyone been through this in first trimester?
