Hello all. My company just went through an acquisition and the company did some restructuring of job titles. When they did this we were all advised the company would be making sure our jobs pay aligned with the national average.
My issue with this is my job title went from a Technical Support Supervisor to a Customer Success Team Lead. I have voiced my concerns with management but have been advised job titles are semantics. In my eyes this is a demotion, and will affect how much my job is worth.

Would you take a role that was lateral, semi step down, career wise if it had more pay and WLB? Most of me is okay with the idea I’ve just never done it before so it’s a little unsettling as I contemplate my move.

My partner and I planned a trip with all of his friends and their wives before I knew I was pregnant. We will be going and I’m 8 weeks pregnant. I considered not going because I feel like without them all knowing I’m pregnant they’re going to think I’m super lame. We decided the best thing to do is just tell his friends (although a bit earlier than ideal) and then take the pressure off me to show up in any way that doesn’t feel good for me. We create targets for ourselves, then race to chase them down. Be it for a better career, money or a much higher standard of living. But I guess our youth pays a price for it. Not sure if this us just me or does anyone else resonates with this. For everything that I wanted to have and do have now, I feel just very hollow.

How do you manage other team’s and teammate’s quarterly goals? I’m currently swamped and doing damage control with a bunch of people suddenly wanting to make their goals (to get their bonuses) at the last minute and wanting to cut any corner with my product that they can. I’ve been working on joining the 225 club for a little over a year. 50ish guy weighing 205 here. Got to 215 today doing 1rm, but my trainer didn’t want me to attempt it (215 was definitely a struggle). Will try again next month. Any tips on how to train for a bit of improvement?

Any workouts to strengthen my core, specifically back neck and shoulders? I’m in constant pain and I heard strengthening my core and making the muscles strong helps a lot but I don’t even know what to do or where to begin

I’ve been sick for two weeks and haven’t worked out and I feel shame. Normally I feel fine and have a positive attitude but I still have some lingering sickness making it hard to get the motivation to workout. How do you slowly get back into it? Also it’s cold Af outside still haha
