I have a verbal offer for a UX design position but the written offer is taking weeks, is this common in design positions? Should I hold out longer with benefit of the doubt? Is a verbal offer not sure enough?

Industry vets - in your experience how recession proof is insurance? I was not yet in the job market last recession but I watched my mom get laid off and struggle to find employment during that time for the next 1.5 years. Obviously MBB are the top consulting firms, but would people feel different about prestige based on service line? As in, is it better to be any type of BA/EM/etc at McK than doing the “sexiest” strategy work at a B4/tier 2? Would any of y’all at Tier 2s accept any lateral role at MBB? Curious to hear thoughts
