Can Accenture 🐠 share the culture and project types in the Finance Strategy offering? Is this a pure strategy or? Saw a position and am interested to learn more! Thanks for sharing!
Anyone have any ideas or great responses from a client for a Retirement Gift you purchased them? TIA
Need points help: current Delta gold, only 7000 MQMs from plat for 2017 but current project ends soon and expecting to fly Star Alliance. Should I stop before hitting plat to carry MQMs for 2018?
I rolled off a project and after 3 weeks they staffed me back. Just the thought of going back gave me a headache and a knot in my stomach :(. Just wanted to vent.
I'm thinking about leaving the advertising world for qual research. I love being a strategist but I loath the client BS and the internal agency egos. I found a research company that does interesting bespoke qual that will still allow me to be creative and strategic. Plus an actual life outside of work. But it would mean a 20-40% pay cut. Has anyone ever been in this position or have some advice?
New job offer: client side, lower title, more pay, no travel (more time with my little ones). Current job: promotion in a few months (expected to still have lower pay than the new offer). Thoughts?
A pharma client requires a urine drug test. Will my ADHD meds make me test "positive"? If so, is there a chance to provide my prescription to a medical officer to clarify? (cont)
When crafting your resume for B school admissions, do you only include project samples for your consulting roles? Let’s say you also lead the Health committee at work - would you use a bullet point on your resume to say that you do, under that job title? Or do you only put sample projects there
Project sent out an WFH ‘rules’ email that asks for us to be readily available for >10 hours during the day. We definitely are asked to charge 45hr a week. Should I bring up the conversation?
I am the sole income earner in a family of four. I need the health insurance for my disabled son. With that said: I am terrified that I am going to be kicked off my project for not being able to do three roles at once while getting zero sympathy from my managers for my stressful personal life. I work 45 hours per week and that is all I can give.
Shouldn't industry M&A folks be given a preference over IB M&A in PE recruiting, given they're actually buying companies and not just advising some random client to buy one?
10+ YOE, experienced hire, and up for promotion to SC this year. My current project is straight up analyst work (absolutely no disrespect). I spend my days doing nothing but updating excel sheets, producing reports for slides, and doing extremely boring work (go into 100+ folders/excels and report back on who's completed what). I not only feel like this is BS, but I feel like it's going to screw up my promotion. I've never asked any analyst I have worked with to do this stuff, yet here I am...
To the people investing in Shiba and Doge and a number of other shitty Alts. Find a project with true application. $LINK is the most undervalued coin under $15B market cap. They’re changing the game. https://www.ap.org/press-releases/2021/ap-chainlink-to-bring-trusted-data-onto-leading-blockchains
I have been trained recently on SAP PI/CPI. I have had prior experience in MM as a functional consultant. Can you let me know what kind of project opportunities I must look for in PI/CPI? What are all the things I need to do to advance in this field. I have like only 1+ year work ex.
I am a beginner DA user and trying to gain experience. I am trying to do a project on ESG for fun, and having some difficulty coming up with a hypothesis. Want to pick your brains and see if I can get started. I have data about CO2 emisiones, electricity usage, air quality, and that’s pretty much it. Using alteryx and powerbi (to visualize results) as I don’t have any other programs. Thanks so much!
Im someone with a "business" background (supply chain, procurement) that went to work for as a consultant for tech consulting firm after finishing my MBA, but now having trouble finding a project. Got my PSM 1 cert, but not sure what else to do. Not a technical person, never coded. What would you recommend someone in my position to focus on? I'd like to remain on the project management/BA side of the business. TIA!
Remember the good old Thursday’s heading out of the client site and smashing vodka sodas in the sky club before flying home. Please take me back....
One more day of client and partner meetings then off to NOLA for a stag weekend. I predict a hazy and expensive 4 days ahead of me.
How much credit card debt do you have?
Point to ponder - Using the same resources (Skype, zoom, meetings, calls etc.) that were always available to us, why didn’t we work from home all along and wasted so much time commuting/flying?🤔
I went back to the office this month (3/4 days per week) and it’s been a positive experience. Plus it seems that some partners who are going in appreciated it. But the office is a 15 min drive away for me. Some people need to commute an hour plus to be there. Will they be at a disadvantage if they actually try to take advantage of hybrid WFH in the future?
Any tips on how to manage ‘upwards’ in a subtle way? Post-layoffs (round 1?), three layers of management got removed between me and the SVP, who is now my direct line manager. (CONT)
Question: The company that you are working for offers cloud managed services and has been approached by a potential client. What are some areas (or red flags) you would consider before responding to their RFP? ( I started putting together a response but would love to get your insights) Answer: 1) Understanding of current annual spending vs spending if they adopted our cloud services 2) Clients expected growth rate 3) Regulatory requirements depending on industry (medical, fed etc)
Do you call people via Skype/Teams as you would on your phone (no warning) or do you ping/chat first to ask if they are available to call?
Now that the Uber Card is changing it’s terms for the worst. Any recommendations on a new credit card? Would prefer no annual fee, but needs good return on restaurants, travel, etc. or a combo?
I'd really like to progress to Sr Designer and get my hands into more responsibility and bigger projects. My boss's feedback when I asked how I could work to a promotion was "Find a problem and solve it". I'm feeling a little lost by that? Like a pain point in workflow for the larger team? Or a design problem I'm facing I can creatively work through? None of the above?
What’s KPMG’s percent range for bonus and salary increases at the senior associate level? Thanks in advance for any info you can share
Discovered that my salary is below the prevailing wage (level 4). Does it mean the company is violating the law by hiring me at below-prevailing-wage rate? What should I do about it?
Those intern presentations....
Hi, I am looking for Research Analyst job in Mumbai. Please refer me if there is any vacancy available. I am working as Research Analyst in Merit Software Services and have been laid off due to pandemic situation. Any help is appreciated.
Can someone please tell me why KPMG is on the receiving end of every consulting meme/joke/roast? I get it’s smallest by revenue, but is there really a significant disparity in quality and or reputation within the big 4?
Does LGA actually close to departing and incoming flights after midnight? I’m delayed out of ORD flying Delta and the scheduled arrival time is 1:08 am. 😬
I fucked up big time But the reason I ended up fucking up was solely cause I fell sick and ended up going to get surgery. For some reason I don't feel people would be believe me
