I had a final round last Thursday, and the hiring manager mentioned the next step will be reference checks. I have another offer due end of this week, which I told them about during the interview. Is it appropriate to follow up with the hiring manager today/tomorrow for an expedited decision, or should I give them at least a week for the final decision?
Seeking advice: Once you are in a big 4 for MC consulting, is it hard to move up to MBB? If you went to MBA school and then tried recruiting into MBB with Big 4 experience? Thanks in advance.
Anyone from Slack here? Want to know what the interview process is like for design or product roles!
I started a new job in the last two weeks and I’m curious if second thoughts are common. I think it’s too soon to tell if this is the right fit for me work wise, but it’s not exactly what I’m looking for. I was interviewing for my dream job at my dream company before C-19 made it go silent. I know I’m lucky to have a new opportunity but I’m worried I won’t put my best foot forward because I’m not excited about it. I may just be exhausted from burnout and a quick turn around. Any advice?
People who have jumped between the big 4’s + Acn, for manager and senior manager positions, is it worth it, will you do it again?
How much of a say do you have over your own schedule as a Staff? I have an SM emailing EM about taking me off other projects, and recently took me off a client for internal work. My utilization is low
SOS! We brought home our second child a week ago and while my nearly 4 year old son has been nothing but completely loving and sweet to the baby he’s been throwing at least one epic tantrum (screaming, banging on his door, throwing toys in his room) for the past several days. He’s normally very mellow but just us saying no over the simplest thing sets him off. Resources? Tantrum tactics that work for you? We’re at a loan
Anyone here have experience interviewing/working for CLEAR (the airport biometric scanner company)? Glassdoor paints a pretty negative picture but I don’t think Glassdoor can always be trusted
To MBB fishes looking for advise from PPMDs- currently in industry 3 yrs Corp strategy prior to that 10 years of B4, 35 yo- would you advise for/against experienced lateral moves into consulting now...how difficult would the transition be and what level should I be coming in as, if PPMD is not an option
What's that, do I see snow? Cannot wait for the Delta/shuttle america delays 🙄 (I made a huge mistake and switched over to Delta from AA)
How is it going with those who decided to adopt pets during covid? Have some of you gotten back to the weekly travelling?
Anyone looking to transition to or recruiting for VC? Particularly healthcare/biotech. Let's get a thread started on tips, processes and best practices
Guys. Question. So I have been working in transaction diligence (FDD) for a while now. I am a 32 yo male. And I made it to SM last year. Am I too old for a MBA? Or a MBA/MPH combined program? I would like to continue my focus in healthcare. Don’t even know if it’s worth really shooting for, or if any reputable school (ie duke, Yale, etc.) would consider me. Thanks
Has anyone else been a top performing, partner track, Big 4 individual, and then had a kiddo and wanted to give it all up? Did you stick with your career? Did you say so long?
Did anyone on H1B switched the job recently or planning/in process of switching? Are the H1B transfers happening smoothly?
