You’ll need an 0-1 visa unless you have citizenship or a spouse that is a citizen.
To get an 0-1 visa you’ll need to be an ‘extraordinary alien’, you’ll also need your prospective employer to sponsor you, this can be costly, so they need to make sure you’re worth it.
You’ll need a strong portfolio of work, awards / recognition, press coverage of your work, being on juries helps. You’ll also need some senior industry figures to write you some letters of recommendation - CCOs etc.
Also, bear in mind that you can get fired over email in the United States and while the market is opening back up, it’s still choppy waters in the industry. If you get laid off, you have to find a job quickly otherwise it puts your whole VISA in jeopardy.

You should find a job first and the company will have to worry about your visa. It’s not called “sponsorship” in the US, that’s a UK term. There is no requirement for an employer to prove a local could fill the position as there is in the UK.
Speaking from personal experience I can tell you most agencies wouldn’t normally have an issue with getting you a visa. Except the pandemic has made it a little more difficult for the time being. But it doesn’t mean you should be discouraged. Start making connections with recruiters now as things will open back up.
You could be eligible for several kinds of visas.
The H1-B (specialized foreign worker), the O-1 (extraordinary ability) or the L-1 (company transfer).
There is also the E3 for Australians and the Diversity Visa (Green Card Lottery) for many other countries but unfortunately excludes the UK.
For more details on Visa eligibility, search on the USCUS.gov website.
