Don’t be that person who doesn’t study the summer before starting their full time job. There is a reason firms start you in the late summer/early fall. I would say there is about a 15% chance you will actually pass all four parts if you don’t come in with at least 2 before you start

schedule your exam and don’t change the date. it helps to work towards a goal as you study and you’ll never feel fully ready anyway. good luck!

Finish it before you graduate. Once you graduate, you’ll have no desire to study for it

Also, good luck! You got this!

likeuplifting

Non Masters 150 version of this would just be finish it before starting full time.

Switch to tech when you still can lol

like

It is 100% worth it to pass! Do everything you can to pass before you start. It is very very hard to work these hours and study for exams.

like

Finish it as fast as possible. Grind it out and stay in on the weekends. After it’s over you’ll feel so good with yourself.

Agree with everyone here. Don’t do accounting, it’s not worth it. Not too late to leave, pursuing CPA is the worst career decision

Cpa is a great career decision. Always can get a job and opens doors and opportunities to many other career paths

like

not everyone is able but if you can, finish before you start full time.

If you’re like me and studying while working, don’t slack on studying if you truly want it

Get out quick, better options out there

Figure out what your studying limits are instead of cramming the material. Personally, I know after 3 hours straight I need a break otherwise I retain nothing so make sure to schedule breaks!

I’m sure someone already said this but try to knock out as many parts as possible before graduation and you start working. You won’t have the time or motivation after. I had 3 parts passed before I finished my bachelors.

The last part I got a 68 and getting 7 additional points while working full time was way harder than passing the first 3 entire parts before I started working

Hey all! I majored in journalism and spent a couple years as a reporter before pivoting into PR/comms. I’ve been in this career for almost 5 years now, but have been at smaller orgs with little grasp of comms/PR the whole time. I’ve had some successes, but no real mentoring. It’s mostly been me playing around with trial and error. Lately I’m feeling stagnant! I could use tips on getting noticed by more comms savvy companies where I could really learn the trade.

Hello! I'm considering subletting a furnished room or a 1-2 bedroom apartment this summer in Brooklyn (ideally Williamsburg, Park Slope, Brooklyn Heights, Carroll Gardens, Prospect Heights or Crown Heights). My budget would be up to $1500 for a room and up to $3k for a furnished 2-bed (or even 1 bed if large enough). Are there particular Facebook groups or websites you would suggest I use to help search? And of course, please feel free to dm me if you know of something. Thanks :)
