So I’m about to start my interview process for Capital One next week for a Senior Financial Analyst position. My recruiter going give me a prep call on Friday but I wanted any advice that recruiters don’t tell you during the interview process. Also I wanted to ask if Capital One a decent place to work at. I will be working at the one in McLean Virginia if that helps.

Get into a cadence of sending them an update of your priorities/progress at the beginning, middle and end of they day. After that ignore any emails.
This question is asked a ton and there’s a lot of good advice on the web. I would micro manage you too if you couldn’t find it on your own.
People are just like dogs. If you want to train a dog to eat at night, that’s when you feed them. If you want to train your manager to wait, make your manager wait. By constantly responding, you are training your manager to micro manage you. People that micro manage are usually driven by anxiety - sometimes it’s because they think they will forget a request if they don’t send it. Turn off your mail notifications on your phone an in outlook and set alarms to check your mail on some basis.
