Any advice for MBB Fit Interview? I'm preparing ten thousands STAR answers, still very nervous...

Hi! I graduated from under grad in 2017 w/ BS in Criminal Justice, took some grad courses in a Master’s program for Public Admin. But I left bc my real passion was law school. I’m applying as a non-traditional student at 30, any advice for older law applicants? Is big law something I can even consider at this point? How is the job-market for part-time night law students?

I’ve been asked to lead an engagement and travel to client onsite in Sept. but already interviewing at 4 other places and trying to leave asap. Should I tell leadership to assign a different lead to avoid leaving the client and team hanging? Problem is I don’t have offer received quite yet.

Why is it that when you want to leave your job, the new potential company you are interviewing for takes for forever to get back to you?

I’ve had 10+ interviews across 5 roles at Google. 4 rejections (1 after one interview, 2 after 3 and 1 after 4). Still working on one. They’re UX/PM roles. I am struggling with not getting actionable feedback! It always comes down to missing something ambiguous like “not enough experience”. I feel stuck. Like the longer I stay where I’m at, the less likely I’ll be able to get out. Like all my skills from college, side projects/volunteering, BCS/programs are losing their leverage.

Does anyone have tips for the structured interview process? I’ve done my research but am not getting past the first round. My credentials must be acceptable if I’m being invited to interview at all. Since post-interview feedback isn’t provided, I’m sort of grasping at straws here!

I’m currently recruiting for a high level leadership role (FL) and initially doing phone screens before sending candidates to interview with a chief officer. I am trying to gauge EQ and communication styles and asking candidates to “tell me about a time when” or “can you give me an example of” things they should have done by this point in their career. A lot of times candidates don’t provide examples but instead speak in hypotheticals or tell me their philosophy about the item in question. I have been noting that they failed to provide an example or that they provide a generic response but would love to know how others handle this? Do you pushback and ask again for a specific example? Or let it go and note it?

How much does the case interview contribute to assessment at PL//EM/SM and above? Is it less than at the associate / con levels?
