Any Advice for navigating the Long Island legal market? I’m currently clerking and will be moving to Long Island in a few months for family reasons. Working in the city isn’t feasible given my circumstances so I’d love any advice from current practitioners in the area. Talking with attorneys this week, I've been informed of multiple recruiting calls pitching an opportunity at a certain NY quant fund (I'd rather not mention by name as this is in no way their fault, and they don't deserve to be tarnished). In speaking with our contacts at the quant, I can say unequivocally that this position does not exist.

While the 'bait and switch" is not a new tactic, please be wary.
