You want to litigate US cases from abroad?
Foreign bar is generally only necessary for appearing in court and advising on local law, neither of which you should need for arbitration. Advising well on US law is your strength.
Yes, there’s still a market for now, but you have to have impeccable credentials (big firm arbitration and excellent transcripts), and often foreign language skills. You might be well off tailoring your profile for oil and gas litigation for Dubai and the Middle East. If your LinkedIn profile is sharp, recruiters will find you. UK firms might take you too, but be sure to research into their prestige factor because Brits are worse than Americans for wanting “pedigree” experience. If you land at a less desirable UK firm it could screw your chances to lateral later.
