Any advice? I got roped into a “deal”/work stream that has lasted for months and months. This is not my group, or even an area of interest for me. I’m very junior and do next to nothing for the work stream, but I don’t want to be caught up in this anymore, because every now and then something comes up and I couldn’t be less qualified to participate. How do I get out?

Hi all! Staff Attorney who was hired to do something very specific at a BL firm. My manager has been very restrictive in what I’m allowed to do for fear that it’ll get in the way of my speciality work, even though all the partners and associates love me and are always asking me to work on deals with them. Because it’s been slow my hours have been down and my manager is back tracking and saying that I can do whatever I want. What do I when it comes to review time?
