Hi Fishes, I have 6+ yrs of work experience. And have worked with big4 in past and post that I joined a startup which I left in 1 month because the role wasn't fit. I’ve been at my current Med/surg job since May, the only thing that’s keeping me there is the schedule, I work on weekends and I’m able to stay at home with my kids during the week. I’m considering changing to the OR. Does anyone know what Sibley Hospital in DC pays OR Nurse? I have a little over 6 months of experience in the OR.

Within the next 18 mo I will be considered for taking over a nurse management job in the OR. This is a small rural hospital in the Midwest. I’m already currently absorbing some of the job responsibilities, especially when the current manager is OOT. I do not get compensated for the extra work done in her absence but will soon be expected to train into that roll in the months prior to her retirement. Do I ask for raise before I agree to train into that roll? What is that job worth?

Okay so I recently took an informatics position and left the bedside. It pays well, but I am bored out of my mind sitting at a desk all day. I don’t know if I’ll be able to adjust. Considering going back to my bedside job as we just got a pay raise equivalent to my new job and it’s only 3 days a week. But also sick of getting my butt kicked. Ugh has anyone else experienced this struggle? Any advice?
