Hi all.. could someone please help me understand how the capital investment and returns works for a Partner at EY Tech consulting ? I'm evaluating their offer and I'm told upto 40% of my fixed CTC has to invested either upfront or over a certain period like 1.5 yrs to 3 yrs. How will I recover this investment and returns of it..I hear loans are also provided for this capital investment.

With interest rates between 6.5% and 7.5%, it is safe to say that buyers are slowing down in their search.

I am a real estate agent who is in the process of closing on her first home. We offered $15k under list and asked for closing costs to be paid for. Granted, this is in a very small rural town; however, just know... If you have been looking for a home for the last 2 years and have not had great luck, now is the time to take advantage of the changing market. You can refi when rates drop.

I could use some suggestions or thoughts on online programs and certifications for social media management.

I am 1/2 of my company’s marketing team and have really taken lead of our social media. I feel I could use some more formal training on the social platforms and guidance on how to really leverage the analytics. I am looking for some ideas on courses or certificates to both learn more about social media management and to position myself as the social media expert at my company.

TIA!

Public schools use Google for everything. So they use Microsoft Office as little as possible. Even Office 365 isn’t used much. I teach an exploratory class to 8th graders for Google docs and sheets since the school tech doesn’t support the educational MS Office 365. I like the MS Office desktop version because it does so much more than 365. I relate how Google does things similar to MS Office but not to the level that Office does.
Do businesses use Google docs, sheets, & the rest for anything?

I have been a head of marketing for the last 10 years. 9 of those for a B2B/B2C company with $350M annual revenue. The last year and a half, I have been the head of marketing for a VC backed company with $90M annual revenue. I was contacted by a recruiter for a CMO role for a $80M VC backed company.

A question a friend asked me left me thinking. The question was: am I ready for the next level?

What am I not thinking about? I have done the job for larger companies.

Have an acquaintance who is a single mom; she purchased a used car 3 mos ago. Six wks later her 17yo wrecked it, air bags deployed, and estimates have ranged between $10-$18k in needed repairs while $21k is still owed. Acquaintance was switching insurance policies and flubbed the coverage dates and there were a few days where the vehicle was uninsured. No GAP insurance. I'm not seeing many options for her besides to continue pmts, fixing just enough to drive or voluntary repo. Thoughts?

Has anyone asked for a refund for payments made towards student loans during the pandemic and actually received it yet?

Under contract for nearly 1.1M. Wife and I are at HHI $315k. Will go up in the future, $400k in 3 years and $500k possible in 5-7 years. We have $300k in non-retirement funds, $260k of which will go towards acquiring the house. We have 2 kids and will probably reduce (not maxing) retirement accounts next 18 months to do this. Anyone have any thoughts or feedback? We’ll have to live on a budget and watch but I feel we’ll get used to it and income will grow.
