Is saas sales stressful?
@other BD folks at Deloitte KPMG EY PwC - how technical are you? I got brought in to sell a tech heavy solution that combines Red Hat, Salesforce, Service Now and I feel like I’m WAY out of my depth. I’m hitting numbers now but still have a heavy dose of imposter syndrome.
Any tips on how to get more technical? Or how to manage as a non-technical person in a very technical space??

I think your best bet would be to focus on B2B SaaS type companies/products. That seems to be the most lucrative in the tech sales field at the moment.
But are there companies out there that would higher me straight to AE? I have these years of working in sales of solid experience but seem like BDR positions are the only ones that seem to obtainable despite my experience in a different industry. Is this just how it is? Or is it I haven’t been looking hard enough?
If you’re looking for 70k base, 140 OTE that’s in-line with an SMB rep at a decent size tech company… that being said most of those big player companies want direct SaaS experience to go straight AE unfortunately. There are other companies that may take you as a Jr. AE (which is hybrid closing and BD role [emphasis on BD])… if you want a lateral move your best bet is to find a startup that has SaaS related to your current industry and state how you can “make an easy transition” as you have connections, buying knowledge, nuance understanding, etc. There are some companies in the HRIS space that will take anyone that has solid sales experience… Paycom, ADP, Paycor, but HRIS is somewhat a Blacksheep of SaaS as the sales cycle, buyers, internal resources involved are not as traditional

you should have no problem finding that! has your quota been 2M?
Yes but that number includes contract renewals. My “new business” number which includes net new and new services at existing clients which is around 1m
Yeah. I could refer someone like this to my company. Send me your LinkedIn in a message.
Real question is where are you located and are you willing to move to either DC or NY for hybrid 3 days a week. 2 days remote.
