One of my clients is a nurse and transitioned to health care consulting with a focus on organizational change management/training.

Thanks for your prompt response. I am glad it's possible to make that transition. I am in the information gathering phase right now. Any chance you have any details about her credentials/background? My main issue right now is how to convert my resume (task oriented) to more of the kind of resume these companies are looking for 😔. Any tips on that ?

Many consulting companies are interested in hiring people with medical experience! Do you know what aspect of healthcare consulting you’re interested in? There are so many types: revenue cycle, value-based care, change management, pharma, etc. Once you narrow that down, it might be easier to target specific companies. But Chartis, ECG, Huron, Kaufman Hall, OW, Accenture, Deloitte are all companies with big healthcare arms. There is a healthcare consulting bowl that might have helpful suggestions too!

I am in those bowls but this one is way more interactive and helpful lol. Ok you've given me a lot to think about! And I thank you so much for that! I will research each sector and see which aligns with my past experience. ❤️❤️

There are nurses at Mck working as consultants! Totally doable!

I keep making mistakes at work because I am depressed and unable to focus or really care about my work right now. I’m not formally diagnosed so I’m not sure what to do and feel like if I talk to HR it’ll be a nightmare. Even worse, what if they have me go to a doctor to get officially diagnosed with a “disability” and the doctor doesn’t think I’m depressed? How is it that I am having literal anxiety about whether or not I’m “clinically” depressed

We have our nanny a 10% pay raise in September to mark her two year anniversary with us (amounted to something like $2.50 more per hour). We were expecting (I was seven months pregnant at the time) and I told her it was (1) annual raise but (2) would also cover the fact that she’d be taking care of another baby. This morning she asks us whether we can talk about her raise now that she’ll be watching an extra kid. I awkwardly was like “well that’s what the prior raise covers” and she (contd)
