What is work-life balance like in big tech legal? I’m currently in house at a large multinational; I like my job and I get paid fine, with a very good WLB (40-45 hrs). I want to look into FAANG-type opportunities as they would mean a huge pay bump, and I think I’m qualified, but I have no idea about the hours, and I don’t want to substantially give up WLB, as that’s why I left BigLaw. I don’t want to be miserable again. I know Amazon is poorly reputed for lawyer WLB… what about other places?

Have any attorneys out there held purely remote positions (non-covid related)? My techy husband and I are considering a digital nomad lifestyle post-pandemic but I’m having a hard time thinking outside the traditional lawyer box. I’m curious whether anyone else out there has attempted it and, if so, whether you have any advice. Thanks!

I have a young mentee (Junior at University of Michigan) who is hardworking, ambitious, and a total sweetheart!!
She is looking for a TV/film/production internship for this summer and I was hoping someone could help give her a referral to an internship 🥺 She has been diligently networking and searching for internships for over half a year. I know she will wow everyone she will meet and I can’t think of anyone more deserving than her. I work in healthcare so I wish I could do more to help her!

How is the career path in SAP Basis?

Hi All, I joined DXC in 2020 as a fresher. Initially, we were trained on SAP ABAP, but after that we were alloted to SAP Basis and we had some basic training. Then we had to do a certification in SAP HANA Administration.

My question is: Is this career path promising in the long term, or should I go for higher studies like MBA? The night shifts are affecting my health. There is no work-life balance. I really don't care a lot about the money though!

Hello ladies… I’m looking to get some advice… I am currently working as a Sr Business Intelligence analyst and looking to move to a Product owner role… does the CSPO certificate help with the role transition and land in a job successfully?

I am a registered sales assistant which means I have my series 7. I also have the 63 and my Life & Health license. I was a financial advisor but the role is commission only so I decided to take a role as an assistant for some time to learn etc. I really like my role, but I only make 32k a year and after taxes I only take home about 25k. I have a gut feeling that I’m not being paid market value but it’s tough to find comparable salaries. Do you think $15.38/hr is a fair wage in this case?
