Any advice on how to handle a situation where a parent wants to sue a teacher who reported them to child protective services? My understanding is the parent has no grounds for a lawsuit due to mandated reporter laws. Is this true?

Our 5 month old started daycare about 5 weeks ago. We’ve already had to keep her home for 2.5 of those 5 weeks due to catching various illnesses (croup, rsv, brinchiolitis, etc). Both my wife and I have been sick most of that time as well (gotten it from the baby). Wife is thinking we get a full time nanny for the next 4 months to help the baby build antibodies. Cost aside, is this feasible / worthwhile to go thru the effort / finding the right fit, only for 4 months?

Pregnant wife is having small portion meals lately, so i asked why she is eating less than usual. Is anyone else just feeling completely overwhelmed and ready to quit? Administration keeps throwing more paperwork and responsibilities on us and I dont know how much more I can do. Any Spec Ed teachers feel like every time you try to get your program running you can’t? I am not in a self-contained class but more of a student drop in resource room where I work in small groups with life skills students who come to me for instruction & then take independent tasks back to class to complete. I have a lot of room to add students to my schedule- but my boss seems to think I shouldn’t be taking on more students but it’s my job to help those struggling students. I’m at a loss.

This fight has gotten real! I’ve been offered a job, advertised as remote, but they want to have a blended program with teachers on campus.
