8+ YoE in prime brokerage, collateral management.
I currently have an offer with org. A, reputed company in IB with CTC 17.5L.
Im looking at a potential opportunity for international mobility to Ireland with Org. B. Expecting the interview this week.
I'm confused as to if I should continue with Org. A as it's the company I've always wanted to be a part of. Also personally have always wanted international opportunity.

Question: why would FAANG become MANGA with Facebook becoming Meta?

Google is a subsidiary of Alphabet but still referred to as a “G”, so would think Facebook/Meta would stay as “F”. Other thoughts?

Anyone have insight into how taxing works on RSUs. Someone at NVIDA mentioned that their RSUs also get taxed by the company and hance you never actually see the sum total of RSUs awarded to you. Basically, 30% of RSUs awarded get held back as tax. Is this true for FAANG companies, specifically Amazon? TIA

I just had to explain to a business client why it’s probably a waste of time to draft a subcontract before we receive at least a first draft of the prime government contract. (“Yes Mr. Client, the subcontract will reuse the parts from prior subcontracts with the sub that make sense.”)

Looking for guidance in becoming a people manager. I'm currently an individual contributor Sr. Manager, but feel a passion for leading a team and impacting other's careers, as my fantastic boss has done for me the past 7 years through her positivity and encouragement. She has meant so much for me, and I want to do that for others. But I don't know where to start. I'm good at my IC job, good work reputation, but not qualified for people management jobs bc I haven't ever managed people 🤷🏻‍♀️

HOA - doing something without approval.....was planning to change my windows without hoa approval but my neighbour snitched. What’s life like working at venture fund? I’ve only been at public operating companies but thinking of making move to VC fund that’s solely funded by one billionaire. Would love to hear pros/cons from others who have gone this route.

Any Director of compliance/counsel for F500 open to sharing salary range? Weighing an offer and feel like it’s light for 15+ YOE.... $220k base, 20% incentive potential....

I have 2 job offers. One of them is a big tech company with a commercial counsel role. Other is a startup, I will be number 2, offered head of commercial legal title. My career goal is to become a GC in a startup and build my own department. The startup offer sounds enticing to learn all about startup life and wear many hats, but I’m not passionate about the industry. Big tech job pays $100K more plus sign on bonus I will be throwing. Any recommendations?

How do I ask my GC for a recommendation without giving the impression that I’m job hunting (even though I am)?

Currently negotiating with a FAANG company who isn’t willing to cover my lease buyout but wants me to move. This just seems odd. I would have thought lease buyout was standard in a relocation package 🙃

Curious to get your take: Company does b2b training. Had a client cancel some workshops, has a 28k “credit” but doesn’t seem to want to apply that credit to anything else. Sales team has reached out with several options for a few months and client is unresponsive. Contract (made before I joined) doesn’t have clauses that specifically address this issue. 🙄 Pro-client MSA expires in 2023 and has “time of the essence” language. What mechanisms we can utilize to impose an expiration on credits?

I want to make more money but I don't want to be a GC. Did I have a bad experience at my last in-house jobs where the GC had no life and was beholden to the CEO? In my past jobs, the GC slaved away for the CEO.
