Any in-house counsel in here willing to post their company, level or YOE, and total comp breakdown? If you’re comfortable, please consider posting both your current stats and what your stats were when you first moved in-house. If there’s any other information that you want to share, please include that too (e.g., hours, interesting perks, etc.). Info on in-house salaries is pretty hard to come by, and it would be great to compile some data points here! Facebook Amazon Google Netflix Apple

Cravath Scale... ha... haha... hahahahahaha!
I had the same reaction as GC1. Just . . . LOL WUT? I would say, take the Cravath scale, cut it in half, and know that there is a WIDE range around that number. I'm in the Bay Area, and interviewed last year for a position at a large chip manufacturer (old school silicon valley) and their starting offer was $95k. For contrast, the big five tech companies generally pay in the mid 200s for a comparable role (6-10 years of experience). There ARE high paying roles out there, but there is obviously stiff competition for those roles. There are many, many more roles in the mid 100s

I’m privacy in-house in DC 4th year. 110k base. Happy to discuss further if you have questions. Feel free to DM me.
I’m not sure about privacy as a sub-field, but high-paying in house roles for someone of your experience level do exist, because I’m in one now.
A little lower in salary/bonus but equity/promote make up for the difference. Private Equity would be where to go, but I’m sure it’s not the only area. I wouldn’t settle for something drastically worse than your pay in BL.
Likely anywhere between 100-180k base comp, variable bonus structure/equity. Depends on industry/type of company.
