If possible try to have your company sent you on a course about project management. Preferably one that is given by a certified PM (PMP/Prince2).

If not possible, pluralsight has some good trainings on Project management and you can get a free trial period.

You should start with the basics as you will find out early if project management is for you.
Another helpfull resource, not only for prepping my examn but just as an overal source of knowledge has been the RMC PMP exam prep book, even if you dont plan to take the exam. You can probably get a cheap 8th or 9th edition online. Currently it is 10th version, but to start it is not needed and buying an older version will save you money.

For templates, projectmanagement.com is a good source.

Please note that beside the hard skills, you need soft skills which are harder to learn.

My last day at my current firm is this Friday. After giving notice, no one has given me any work. I had a few things to finish up but I’m on to my last project and it’s only Tuesday. What do I do? Just ride it out? I don’t want to make anyone mad

Out of curiosity as a startup owner in the data analytics consulting space, what’s the line where an MBB or similar says no to a project budget wise? At what $$$ point does a company get turned away?

What's the worst thing you're client overheard you saying about them?

Does the "always negotiate" advice only apply to salaried positions? After receiving an offer via a staffing firm for a 6-month contract-to-hire role, where the client allegedly loved me and said I was the best fit by far, I asked the recruiter if the client might have any flexibility on hourly rate. She said she's had those conversations all the time, but the next thing I hear is that the client no longer thinks I'm a good fit at all because of flight risk, and even the original offer vanished!

One hellish project wrapped up yesterday, on my way to a Caribbean beach vacation 🎈🎉🍷💃🏻✈️

We just hired a new Senior from industry- says our project is just like her old role. Acts like she is more senior than me even though we are same rank and has no consulting experience. Pisses me off.

Account People: what keeps you from going client side? Hours and money are supposedly better. You don't have so take it from the client. If you're lucky, you could even work for a company you admire.

2) What should be the right designation according to my experience.?

I've had an absolutely miserable last few months. I started a job that gives me anxiety and dread every waking moment, I try to prioritize taking care of and spending time with my kids, which conflicts with my essential need to be always on call for my job, and I just feel like a complete and utter failure as both an attorney and father. Does anyone feels this way? Is this me getting to the point where I have to just quit and take a sabbatical? I feel like I'm at my wit's end and I can't cope.
