I posted this before when someone else asked about TPG but their WLB is pretty terrible from what friends there have told me. Long hours and have a friend who left for business school and turned down a return offer (to go back afterward) in favor of other opps.
Once in a blue moon they'll grab a consultant. Had a friend who was at Bain before TPG.
Finance background prior to consulting. Maybe that’s why?
There is nothing good about the WLB but I wouldn't let that be your only deciding factor. It's a good company.
Thanks. This is helpful. Seems like I would get a good training there. Everyone I have talked to so far is very smart.
I thought TPG only hires bankers??
Is this TPG capital or a different group? The WLB varies significantly based on group
Jealous. Wish I was at Rise. Beats the vanila leveraged buyouts I was doing...
