I’m still fuzzy on this whole innovation thing. People are still getting hired to the role. What do they do? They seem to be nothing more than pundits. Someone else could be hired for that salary.
I’m considering applying for remote legal admin positions in addition to my current role (also remote, with flexible schedule). Do we foresee any issues with working two remote jobs, assuming no conflicts? How could I go about talking about my current role, if asked? It would be nice to have an extra income source, and since I work from home, I don’t see the time being an issue.
Has anyone used their MBA to break out of agency roles into a client side position, marketing or elsewhere ? If so, how did it go?
Currently a first year senior in regional firm. I just got off the phone with a recruiter at big 4 and they want to offer experienced staff position with almost $10k lower salary. Any thoughts?

Had an interview with a firm in NYC I’m really interested in earlier this week. It felt like it went well and like the partners (including the hiring partner) liked me. What is the general time between interview and offer/rejection?
Kpmg global services vs Deloitte consulting.. ServiceNow opening.. Which one would you suggest. Looking for good WLB and transparent team
I am an HR Business Partner at my current company but have been afforded a few human capital consulting opportunities with various big 4 firms. I don’t think I’d want to make a career out of it given the long hours, however I’m contemplating accepting the role and doing consulting for 2 years and then going back to industry. Is this a practical path? How hard is the transition from consulting to industry and what sort of roles have ppl landed that did transition to industry? Would love advice!
Please help with your suggestions to this Depressed fish! 10 YOE and worked diligently with sub standard package relying on bosses alms without realised the exploitation until recently. Hey everyone! I have been working freelance on-site for about 8 months now. My goal is to eventually find a remote freelance role. Any tips/advice that you have would be very much appreciated!
So I got an offer for a Consulting-Manager role for approx $150K. Is that a good deal? It looks ok when I check in Glassdoor and the likes, but just wanted to see what the group here says.
Having trouble navigating salary for a top end plaintiffs law firm salary for senior associate position (2012 grad). Mainly handling class actions and MDLs. I’ve only been in single events practice so it’s a whole new world salary wise. Any suggestions so as to what to ask for to not low ball myself? Thanks in advance!
Is it more likely when I put my 2 weeks in that: A.) My agency will work me to the bone for the next 10 days B.) I will be pulled off projects and hopefully training and replacing my current role Thank you for voting, your representation matters.
I’m currently in Deloittes RFA practice and have been trying to transition to a DC role within the Workday HCM or Financials portfolio but not making any headway. I have significant hands on experience with HCM and FINS from a controls standpoint as well as functional implementation experience with ERPs. Suggestions? Time to start looking elsewhere? DM?
I'm a young software developer working with one of the FAANG but I keep hearing that fintech companies pay Software Developers more. What should I learn if a wanted to move to a Software development role in a Fintech company? In all my previous SDE roles (intern/entry level) I've always had to understand the domain of the projects so I'm thinking about upskilling as I'm not looking for entry level jobs anymore.
What's the general consensus on how to handle an exit? Do I warn my team and my mentor(s) that I'm going to be putting in my two weeks, or do I put in my two weeks and then inform my team and mentor(s) that I did? Excited to be moving on, but I really don't want to burn bridges or step on toes.
Best place to stay in Montreal? Prefer SPG but open to other suggestions. Not for work. Two trips planned: one with family, other for bachelor party (if that helps)
Best consulting firms for real inclusion?
If you project ends right around when you turn in 2 week notice, will most company let you go immediately or honor your 2 weeks? Those 2 weeks will just be bench weeks then. (I’m Not going to a competitor).
Today’s career aspiration: get to the level where you do not have to submit time sheets. SVP? EVP?
MBA 🐠 I took the GRE after undergrad. Happy with the score. Should I still take the GMAT before applying?
What type of self help strategies do individuals actually find helpful when you feel burn out or stuck in a rut? Any books, apps, meditation, podcasts, etc, others find helpful? I've done therapy and it has definitely helped this past year with covid and a marriage separation, starting to feel like I'm making progress and want to keep up the momentum. Looking to see what type of self help others find actually beneficial and would love to use that to help others stuck in burn out too
Anyone still get jitters before a call/interview/presentation? How do I get rid of it? Its been this way for many years.
Has anyone filed a police report with LA county that have video evidence and the faces of the criminals? Any lessons learned? I recently got my bike stolen and I want to make sure the footage I have gets seen by an officer.
I have a New York LCA and want start working from Texas... I already started the amendment process and was told that the amendment should be filed before March end. So I booked my flight tickets for April start. However, it seems like the filing is taking longer. Do you guys know if I can still go and file the time under New York? Is there a risk? Would anyone check my flight records? P.S. My LCA is filed but H1B amended petition is not filed yet. Lawyers are waiting for certified LCA.
Why do I feel so guilty about wanting to take another offer and leaving my team? I like my current teammates just HATE the client and project. I’ve also asked for a raise multiple times and have been told no. I’m underpaid but am up for promotion this year (June). I don’t think Deloitte can/willmatch. I want to take the money but I feel like I’m still learning leaderships skills and can see the potential for beefing out the management portion of my resume. What would you do? (Offer 50% more)
Does anyone else feel like WFH has made higher ups notice you more? I feel like when we were in the office I was always judged by my looks, how young I was, my ability to make small talk, etc., but not the content or quality of my work. Now that the only thing they have to judge me on is my work, it seems like everyone wants to work for me. Don’t get me wrong, I’m grateful but also TERRIFIED to go back in the office and watch all that momentum go down the drain.
About to be promoted and moving to a new position laterally for 70k+bonus and good wlb. Verbally committed a year to the position and am training. Have the option to move to a boutique firm for almost double the pay doing similar but will likely work long hours and burn a bridge with the current employer. No brainer?
Favorite video game(s) when you were a child? I’ll go first: Ratchet and clank deadlock and Pokémon (from ruby red to heart gold)
Would you suggest paying down student loans (approx $29k) while 0% interest or put that money into savings. I’ve been on a 10% salary reduction since April and bought a house last fall. I’ve been able to pay my bills and maintain about 2-3 months of expenses in savings. My disposable income has reduced due to the salary reduction, but I’ve cut out unnecessary spending. I’m trying to decide whether to take advantage of 0% interest and get my loans as low as I can or put that money into savings.
What's the average salary for clinical trial manager and clinical research associate in Eastern Canada, esp. in Ontario and Quebec provinces? And kindly let me know the hierarchy in clinical operations. Is it CRAssct < CTMang.< CPrjM < CPrgM ??
I googled this…no pun intended…but what is the policy for covid vaccines? I read on some articles that it is only for attending the office, but I heard from conversations that all personnel are required to be vaccinated even if they work fully remote.
Mba hires, are you jealous of your ug hire coworkers? I mean they’re doing it younger and have the flexibility to not pay for the mba
