You’re an AAE. No freaking way. Also you’re supposed to be hustling at that age...
You can hustle when you WFH too. Flexible working policies don’t mean there is less work or hustle, just means you can get the work done from anywhere
Biolumina has once a week after your initial 3 months of employment
Once-a-week? If you can justify it, sure. But I’m not sure many people could. The glue of agencies is face to face conversations.
Informally I can work from home whenever I want, as often as I like. The reality is I do a day at home about once every 6-8 weeks.
I think most work can be done remotely. I feel more agencies and companies in general should adopt it.
McCann does - 3x a month. For people of all levels, including AAEs😊
GMMB does! Some people take take it every week. Agree with others that as a more junior person you should only use when necessary - face to face is how you build trust and ties with those in your office.
McCann has WFH once a month?
I’m not an AAE. Been working for 4.5 years. This thing just won’t change my title for some reason
I think that depends on the accounts and clients structure too. We have some account people who are in client offices 2-3 times a week and I work with one client where our main contacts are spread across three times zones
Like said above, Biolumina offers once a week WFH after your first three months.
I'm currently three months into my first real job (sans internships) out of college and while we don't have a formal policy, my supervisor is very chill about WFH days and has a "as long as the work is being done quickly, correctly and efficiently" mindset when it comes to work. They would rather treat us like adults/human beings vs micro-managing everything. Maybe ask your supervisor/manager about WFH? But I would go in with a "I have done xyz well and I believe I can do they at the same level at home" first before going into the why of wanting to have a WFH day.
Supposedly get a WFH once a month but this really depends on the individual. Meaning that person has to demonstrate they are worthy of it and actually deliver even though they are at home and not just dicking around before we even grant them the trust of taking that WFH. Had a friend in another agency where a junior talent told him he had to extend a deadline because the WFH day cannot be counted as a full working day.
Ogilvy does in some offices though have heard certain teams do not encourage.
I get WFH once a week!
I did full remote agency work l. It’s hard, but if you completely optimize the client experience (video calls, solid account management, solid processes) it works out well.
We're pretty flexible. Everyone has the option of a set day to wfh each week. Key is regular communications about when to be present, and staying easy to reach. Video chat helps a lot.
Twice a month. Wish it were closer to once a week.
