What’s with agency recruiters ghosting perspective candidates. If, after talking with me, you’re not interested anymore just fucking tell me. Not responding to emails is rude and unprofessional.

In my previous agency, client servicing wasn't allowed to give an opinion on creatives, only CDs and CCO. I remember the fights this generated, however I felt my ideas/layouts was worth something. On my actual agency, everybody can give feedback (and they do). From the CEO to the junior account that started yesterday, even the doorman if he's passing by and gives a comment I need to address. As a junior, a lot of peers from my generation immediately got internships at top agencies, while I had to start at a very small and un-creative agency.

At the time, it felt very frustrating, like I was running behind. But in hindsight, it was a blessing in disguise. I got a lot of responsibility very fast and I could develop my skills gradually, without being burned. I’m sure this first job helped me enormously later on in my career.
