Have a friend at AWS and they do a few days per week remote ongoing.

Interesting, and three days a week in the office?

Return to office scheduled for January. Amazon will absolutely go back to offices - just part of the culture. However current plan for most teams is a hybrid model with 3 in office / 2 wfh

Company : Hey take this money and buy an office chair, table ,extra monitors, accessories to setup your home office. Me : Hey! Thanks. Company : Are you now comfortable working from home and feel productive ? Me : Yeah. Company: Awesome! Now come back to your base location and spend majority of your time working from a rented place where you will miss both Working from home and working from office.

I need help! Between an early fintech startup or Amazon, which would you choose to work for as a tech recruiter? Startup seems stable/profitable but will come with vastly different challenges. Base pay is the same, both remote. I prefer to have a friendly/social environment with a lot of collaboration while still having freedom/autonomy over my own schedule. I hear a lot of mixed things about Amazon but like the idea of the mentorship and structure (but don’t want the micro management/kpi’s)

I’ve secretly been loving the WFH situation and it’s been great spending more time with my kids and seeing them throughout the day. I’m really not looking forward to going back to the office when we reopen. Anyone else in the same boat? I’m going to be so sad.

Hi! Looking for a safe and fun city to live as a single, early 30s female. I have a remote job that will remain WFH even after pandemic. Want something with walkable nightlife. Budget of <$2000 for 1 bedroom apartment. Thanks in advance for any recommendations!

Currently working at Perforce Software in Minneapolis as a writer making 70k. Was offered a job to be a writer at Amazon Alexa for 95k plus 11k sign on and shares. Here’s the catch: the job was listed as fully remote but now they’re asking if I’d want to move out on the West Coast…not a requirement but they really sound like that’s their ideal. My husband will be relocating to NYC for his job which is where I want to go…working West Coast hours in NYC sounds kind of awful. BUT I really don’t

Man WFH is impossible. I will be on a call and every 20 minutes my mom- “Raja, are you hungry or thirsty?” Hahaha even sadder is that I am 25...

What benefit would you like to see implemented in your firm/company due to the pandemic? How about WFH forever. No mandatory going back to the office.

I've had 5 no-shows to video interviews for a recruiter position. It's a full-time time, salaried , 100% remote role. I have 8 other corporate roles and not experiencing this. Any tips or ideas? I send interview reminders, send a follow-up email/text after the no show to make sure they are ok. I haven't heard back from anyone. So odd.

I can honestly say that working from home these last few years has been the best thing that’s happened to my career as a producer. I never realized how distracting being in an office was. Now, I actually can focus on bidding, scheduling, reviewing contracts, and all of the stressful parts of production WITHOUT having to factor in code switching and a commute. I left my agency producer role for a fully remote producing role and I’m just….thrilled. Anyone else refuse to go back to office? 😩

would you move back in with your parents if you were fully remote? i earn 90K and am in 24k student loan debt currently paying $1650 in rent. i’m 26f but honestly at this point it’s starting to feel a little silly not to move home and pay $600 in their property tax while i save aggressively. i’m just worried about giving up my independence but it seems a little nonsensical at this point—what would you do in my situation?
